Historia
The one thing Mrs. Bennett most dearly wants is to see her five daughters settled. When wealthy bachelor Mr. Bingley moves in to nearby Netherfield Hall and takes an interest in her eldest daughter, Jane, her dream is almost within her grasp. Yet, problems arise when Bingley's friend, the prideful Mr. Darcy, meddles in their relationship, earning him the disdain of Jane's sister, Elizabeth. However, Mr. Darcy can't help finding a match in the intelligent, free-spirited Lizzy Bennett, despite her country manners.

A lovely listen!
Revisado: 04-17-18
I really enjoyed this retelling of Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen's wit and humor is brought out nicely by Shiromi Arserio. I also really enjoyed the pacing. The story was told with an energy that brought the characters to life. This is a book I will enjoy coming back to again and again.

Historia
No matter what the options are, Mike, a rough-tongued, reclusive southerner, with little patience for people, would rather be fishing. Every time he puts his hand on his rod, the phone rings with a new job to exterminate a monster. Rather Be Fishing follows Mike on nine such delays as he battles a range of challenging creatures. His clients find themselves plagued by everything from well-known foes like vampires and werewolves to more rare nuisances like moss men and chupacabra.

A Great Listen!!
Revisado: 12-26-17
I was really sad when this book came to an end. The characters had become like good friends and I just wanted the book to keep going so I could hang out with them. Nathan Glondys does a great job giving each character a distinct voice that is perfect for them. And, Lucretia Stanhope did a lovely job in the writing. The characters have life and depth and are well worth listening to. I also like the format. Each chapter became a short monster story that when taken together becomes a snapshot in the life of this monster hunter. Well done.

Historia
What if Jane Austen's most notorious character, Lady Susan Vernon, paid a special visit to Lady Catherine de Bourgh at her grand estate of Rosings Park? Her arrival inadvertently occurs right after Elizabeth Bennet has rejected Mr. Darcy's botched proposal, and the saddened gentleman catches the eye of London's most infamous flirt. The fun begins as Lady Susan plots to sever Darcy from Elizabeth, and claim him for herself. We all know she can't possibly win his heart, but it is a bit of a giggle to watch her try.

A Charming Listen.
Revisado: 08-08-17
This is a lovely story. The author has written it in such a way that you can enjoy the book whether you are familiar with the characters or not. It is a departure from the original Pride and Prejudice cannon, but it wraps up some characters nicely that I have always wanted to have a better ending to their story. The narrator does a nice job. She sounds a little sleepy at times, but she carries the story well. This is a light romance that is pleasant to listen to.

Historia
Edith (E.) Nesbit was a master at weaving imagination and real life into timeless fairy tales, with fantastic mythical creatures, princes and princesses, magic, and just the right touch of silliness. This is a collection of nine of her fairy tales with a common theme - Dragons! For children from five to 95, these stories are not to be taken seriously. Let your imagination run wild!

A lovely book of bedtime stories.
Revisado: 02-23-17
Would you consider the audio edition of The Book of Dragons to be better than the print version?
The audiobook is lovely and very soothing. It reminds me of just how you would expect a book to sound if it was being read to children in a nursery at bedtime. There are times, when I think I would have preferred the book though, just because the audiobook was so soothing I think some of the tongue-in-cheek whit was lost.
What about Karen Krause’s performance did you like?
Her performance from a technical standpoint is perfect. She is very clear and easy to understand. The characters have very distinct voices and the voices are charming. The recording is really lovely.
Any additional comments?

Historia
When Emma opens her own salon at last, she is beyond thrilled. It has taken four years of saving and planning to get here, and she even managed to leave her old salon on good terms with her former boss, Gina. Emma is on top of the world. Until someone is murdered right in front of her apartment, that is. The woman is a tourist with zero connections in town, and there is no reason at all that anyone should have killed her; unless you count the fact that she looks remarkably like Emma.

A Fun Story!
Revisado: 06-01-16
What did you love best about Nail Vanish?
This was my first cozy mystery and I really enjoyed it! I love the length and the pacing. It was exactly the kind of book that I had been looking for. I wanted something exciting, but not stressful and this was what I needed.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Nail Vanish?
The fight scene! I have so much respect for Emma. She is exactly the kind of heroine that I love! She is a wonderfully strong female character!
What does Meghan Kelly bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She gave the character of Emma a nice depth that I wouldn't have read in to her if I had just been reading the story. It surprised me at first and I grew to love Meghan's version of Emma.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I listen to audiobooks while walking and there were several lines that made me laugh out loud and then I had to look around and make sure no one was staring.
Any additional comments?
