Historia
Pip is not a detective anymore. With the help of Ravi Singh, she released a true-crime podcast about the murder case they solved together last year. The podcast has gone viral, yet Pip insists her investigating days are behind her. But she will have to break that promise when someone she knows goes missing. Jamie Reynolds has disappeared, on the very same night the town hosted a memorial for the sixth-year anniversary of the deaths of Andie Bell and Sal Singh.

Ugh
Revisado: 12-17-23
1. I knew what I was getting myself into. Snow is a Sociopath. I just liked the original series more. This was hard to listen to because I mostly hated the main character.
2. The performance was good but the music was mistreated. They should have paid someone to sing the songs instead of just saying the words.
3. The ending felt rushed and was not satisfying in the least so if you are a person who likes something (anything) good to happen at the end, you will be disappointed. There was an opportunity for a sliver of satisfaction but nope. NOPE!😩

Wonderful principles and concepts riddled throughout a compelling story. I loved it. My biggest criticism is the ridiculous amount of F-words. It seems odd to use the swear words of another planet.

Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.

Born to a prominent Chicago judge and his stifled socialite wife, Mia Dennett moves against the grain as a young inner-city art teacher. One night, Mia enters a bar to meet her on-again, off-again boyfriend. But when he doesn't show, she unwisely leaves with an enigmatic stranger. With his smooth moves and modest wit, Colin Thatcher seems at first like a safe one-night stand. But following Colin home will turn out to be the worst mistake of Mia's life.

fantastic character development with a great twist
Revisado: 06-09-18
The only thing I didn't like about this was the too frequent use of the f bomb. the rest of it was expertly crafted. I am a snob for good character development and this story didn't disappoint.

Historia
"Marley was dead to begin with...." These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge? Or had he?

Rough ending
Revisado: 11-13-17
An uncharacteristic ending for Brandon. I was rather surprised. I figured this would be the end of the series, but it was set up to have more books instead.
Other than that, it was a fun read as usual for the Alcatraz series. I love how he breaks the 4th wall.

Historia
Set in the pre-Christian world of Glome on the outskirts of Greek civilization, it is a tale of two princesses: the beautiful Psyche, who is loved by the god of love himself, and Orual, Psyche's unattractive and embittered older sister, who loves Psyche with a destructive possessiveness. Her frustration and jealousy over Psyche's fate sets Orual on the troubled path of self-discovery. Lewis's last work of fiction, this is often considered his best by critics.
