I knew very little about Brandi when I started this book. She is pretty remarkable and seems to be a magnet for other remarkable people. I will watch her career with a great deal of investment now.

Beautifully written.

This book took me by surprise in the best and worst way. It is a much darker tale than expected but I was along for the ride 100%. The story flashes forward in the narrators life so you always have an idea of how that summer went, but you just don't know how far it goes until you are in the middle of the many events that transpired.

Fun Listen

I am so glad I chose to listen to this book. it was very well done and hearing Dolly brought me joy. The story was good, and well written, but the mystery part was not really important to the story for me. it really just made the main character a little annoying. The struggle and her making friends and becoming successful was fun and enjoyable. Her secret, and subsequent running away was just frustrating to me.
Over all the characters were very likeable and it was a world you could emerce yourself in.

I felt the story rambled, and lost track a few times. Not a fan of the narrator. I couldn't always tell who was speaking in the story because it all sounded the same.

Strangely Pretictable

I was interested, and entertained. A few twists that were not hard to predict. The ending left me a little flat. I did enjoy it though. Not a good book for someone who doeant like to bounce around.

Give this story a chance, worth it.

I really struggled to get into this book because the main character is so unlikable, but that is really what this is about. I really did hate April May. Her actions were cringe worthy and many times as a mother I would have wanted to knock the dumb out of her.

The story will keep you interested and has some interesting twists along the way. The main character is that young YouTube d-bag that you have seen before. She is openly and admittedly a pretty selfish and horrible person. Luckily for her she has an amazing circle of friends that keep her going, and lucky for me I toughed it out to get into the story.

I can't imagine the governments of the world would have taken this so casually, but what the heck. It was an interesting story and I enjoyed it for that.

I am really looking forward to the next book. It will most certainly start out with a bang based on the ending of this book.

Worth your time

What made the experience of listening to A Higher Loyalty the most enjoyable?

It had way more to offer than just Comey's experience with Trump. He reviews his whole professional life that I was not aware of.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Very eye opening regarding his interaction with Trump.
