Historia
Inspired to serve his country after watching the World Trade Center collapse, Dexter is critically wounded by a roadside bomb blast at the hands of insurgents in Abu Ghraib, Iraq. His physical wounds push him to his limits as he recovers, but his mental and emotional wounds from the battlefield prove to be just as tough to overcome. A failed first marriage, medically retired from the army at 22, stripped of his identity as a soldier, and thrust back into civilian life, he has to construct a new life for himself.

In his own voice
Revisado: 02-01-23
I read the book and it’s fantastic. Being able to hear it in his voice might make it better.

Historia
Greg Donahue’s The Minuteman, tells the story of one of Newark’s native sons; ex-prizefighter and longtime Zwillman enforcer Sidney Abramowitz, a.k.a. Nat Arno, who took over leadership of the Minutemen in 1934 and made it his personal business to put an end to what he saw as the Bund’s “anti-American” activities. For six years, Arno and his crew of vigilantes battled Newark’s Nazis at every turn. The Minuteman is a story of the ethics of violence in the face of fascism; a forgotten legacy that is as relevant now as it was nearly a hundred years ago.

Story and performance only
Revisado: 01-26-20
The story and performance were great. The introduction equating Jews fighting actual nazis in 1930-1940s to present day antifa fighting modern day law enforcement and conservatism is disgusting and incorrect.
