great information
Revisado: 08-31-06
I thought this audiobook was great. It tells you how to deal with seven types of difficult people. It's very clear and direct - and the voices they use in some of the skits illustrate the personality types very clearly. The audio quality didn't sound too good - but the information was great. There are certain people that I always butt heads with and now I understand what (specifically) it is these people are doing and what to do in response. I have started using what I learned and it is working great for me. It's such a relief to learn how to stand up for myself effectively for the difficult people in my life.

very good
Revisado: 01-14-06
I thought this audiobook was very good - I found it very accurate and a lot of things really hit home. This is the best audiobook I've found to date about being raised in a dysfunctional family.

Historia
In 1994, Driven to Distraction sparked a revolution in our understanding of attention deficit disorder. Now a second revolution is under way in the approach to ADD, and the news is great. Drug therapies, our understanding of the role of diet and exercise, even the way we define the disorder, all are changing radically. And doctors are realizing that millions of adults suffer from this condition, though the vast majority of them remain undiagnosed and untreated.

Excellent Book!
Revisado: 03-06-05
This is the best book I've read (heard) on ADD. It's more thorough than any book I've seen and I've learned a lot about what causes many/all of my problems. I know what to watch for in my behavior/situation and what to do about it! It paints a very accurate picture of ADD - it's more accurate and complete and up to date than any book I've seen before. It also has some exercises to increase my attention-which are easy to do & they do in fact increase my attention - like the cerebellum exercise of practicing balance on a wobbly board. I never heard of stuff like this before and it's easy and works! I highly recommend this book - there's a lot of great information. I also really like the audio format because it's much easier to complete and relisten to.
