Historia
John Coal is the town oddball. Old, crotchety, pungent, and solitary, he lives in a house just as run-down as he. The neighborhood kids take great delight in plaguing him morning, noon, and night, but they’ve chosen the wrong old coot to trifle with this time. He knows where the bodies are buried. He’s been to the outer limits. He is the keeper of dark secrets. Murders, monsters, demons, and vampires: He has seen them all and lived to tell the tale.

Great story
Revisado: 10-10-23
I love Danny King’s writing. He puts a lot of humor into his stories and makes his characters more human with it. Though they may not be entirely human in the story. Highly recommended

Historia
On a brisk autumn day, a 13-year-old boy stands on the shores of the gray Atlantic, near a silent amusement park and a fading ocean resort called the Alhambra. The past has driven Jack Sawyer here: His father is gone, his mother is dying, and the world no longer makes sense. But for Jack everything is about to change. For he has been chosen to make a journey back across America - and into another realm. One of the most influential and heralded works of fantasy ever written, The Talisman is an extraordinary novel of loyalty, awakening, terror, and mystery.

What a great story of perseverance and love. Loved it the first time I read it as a young teen and now as an adult.

Historia
Ignatius Perrish spent the night drunk and doing terrible things. He woke up the next morning with a thunderous hangover, a raging headache, and a pair of horns growing from his temples. At first Ig thought the horns were a hallucination, the product of a mind damaged by rage and grief. He had spent the last year in a lonely, private purgatory, following the death of his beloved, Merrin Williams, who was raped and murdered under inexplicable circumstances.

I really enjoyed this quirky and original story. It’s well written and thought out. Has a great, unexpected, emotional twist. The characters are fully fleshed out individuals. A truly devilish love story in essence. I hghly recommend it!

Damned good
Revisado: 03-12-21
It is a rare gem. Finding a storyteller who knows how to weave together a vibrant and visceral tapestry of characters and sense of place is a true treasure. Rob J Hayes is a master. The Razor’s Edge is a story of suffering and hardship that hones the heroine’s rage to a killing edge.
