Historia
According to Ken Wilber, the perpetual human search for growth and fulfillment is often incomplete. In this book, Wilber integrates the wisdom of spirituality, psychology, shadow work, science, and integral theory to offer us a path to a radical and complete Wholeness of Waking Up, Growing Up, Opening Up, Cleaning Up, and Showing Up. Wilber shows listeners how to apply integral theory to their everyday lives for transformation.

some useful stuff, presented poorly
Revisado: 10-08-24
I think it would be less than half the length of it was actually edited. he repeats himself SO many times, sometimes in the very next sentence.

no real information other than "lie early and often"
if you are a terrible person some of this could work but it is also super vague and pointless.

Historia
When they met at an airport, it was love at first sight. But in time, everything collapsed. As an unnamed but unforgettable woman muses on her life—from meet cute to marriage and parenthood—her recollections inexorably build to a devastating truth. In this shattering performance, Carey Mulligan, star of the critically lauded drama An Education, captivates audiences with playwright Dennis Kelly’s harrowing ruminations on family, ambition, gender, and violence.

A great mix of humanity, drama, and surprise. I loved it. I didn't know what to expect starting out and I didn't really know part way through. Everything worked well and the experience was wonderful.

Historia
Roshar is a world of stone and storms. Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike. Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground. Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter. It has been centuries since the fall of the 10 consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor.

Revisado: 01-02-18
What made the experience of listening to The Way of Kings the most enjoyable?
The story was creative and engaging
What did you like best about this story?
the characters were very well developed and the intrigue was doled out slowly but well
What does Kate Reading and Michael Kramer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I didn't care for Kate Reading's performance as much because she has an inflection that goes up at the end of each sentence like a subtle question and it bothered me. The different voices were consistent for both narrators.
I wish they would have gotten on the same page about some of the pronunciations, however. there are a couple times (mostly with names) where they each pronounce it differently enough that it was distracting to figure out who they were talking about.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
nope, not possible. It was very well done but it is easily divided up for enjoyment.
Any additional comments?
I feel that you loose a little bit with it being narrated in that each chapter starts with little clips of completely different information that I feel are better contextualized in text.
