Historia
Darius Logan is far from a hero. Since his parents were killed, he has spent most of his life navigating foster homes and shelters, abandoned neighborhoods, and decaying buildings. All Darius knows is survival. Life was hard enough, but now he finds himself being hunted by the police after a drug deal he never should have been involved in goes bad. And when they catch him, Darius is positive he will spend the rest of his life behind bars. But in place of a long prison sentence, Darius is handed an opportunity almost too good to be true.

Exciting Story with a GOAT Voice Actor
Revisado: 04-07-25
Excellent world building, characters and story. Phil Lamaar did a great differentiating and expressing everyone with his unique baritone voice. I want MORE of this world! Where does Darius go after the events of this book?

Best Blerd Book Ever!!
Revisado: 03-04-25
Omar and William bring their love of black nerd culture big time! They put me on to several anime/comics that I was sleeping on Hajime No Ippo, Jonathan Hickman's Houses of X/Powers of X. More than anything, I love how they articulate this experience (good and bad) of being black and a fan of nerd culture. The passion and hype they put into this is felt in every chapter. It's a unique audiobook that speaks directly to me that I played on road trips with my wife or while cleaning the house. If they ever make BNP2, it's pre-order purchase for me!
