Historia
Enlightening, revelatory, and bold, Beyond Jesus reveals how our political and religious institutions are an outward manifestation of the inner beliefs we hold about who we are, and that beneath the layers of dogma about Jesus lies a key to our spiritual evolution and the astonishing possibility it holds for the future.

Historia
It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Not worth the listen
Revisado: 09-14-24
It felt like a waste of time listening to this because I didn’t feel any connection to the characters. The story gives you a basic sense of who each character is, but they aren’t developed enough for me to care about the story.

Kristin Hannah at her best!
Revisado: 03-14-24
Highly recommend! Powerful story, clearly meticulously researched and wonderfully narrated! An honest, gut-wrenching picture of the horrors of Vietnam, the courageous women who served, and one woman’s journey towards healing and hope.

Profound and inspiring!!
Revisado: 11-11-20
This is one of the best books I’ve ever read!! Liz’s depth, honesty, insight, humor and profound self-awareness make her journey so relatable! It made me want to embark on my own journey to become a better, more authentic person. And it reminded me that I have the ability to create a life I truly love.... and I must have the courage and commitment to make it happen!
