Incredible
Revisado: 07-03-15
I would overwhelmingly recommended this book. I've read the Bible but this book helpEd define a lot of events of the time. It is a great cauterizing reference book. It makes the story of Jesus and what was going on at the time in both Israel and Rome, much clearer to me.

Historia
Most people think of snipers as shooters perched in urban hides, dealing out death unseen from a considerable distance. But this description barely scratches the surface. Special operations snipers are men with stacked skill sets who have the ability to turn the tide of battles, even when they aren't pulling the trigger. Snipers have played an outsized role in the War on Terror that has earned them the Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, and countless other honors.

One of the better spec ops books
Revisado: 06-24-15
I like pretty much everything. The accounts of many different people in all the different situations, was very enthralling. The presenter/speaker was one of the best I've listened to.

Great book about SEALS Community
Revisado: 05-15-15
Very different than the other special ops and SEALS books that I've read. It had enough about the operational sides of being a SEAL, to keep me intrigued but I really enjoyed the personal performance aspects of the book. I found it very motivating and very true to the emotional circumstances that many successful people go through. "Panic can kill you." That's just as true in our daily lives as it is in a war zone, i've been in both..... In our personal lives we just die a slower and probably a much more painful death from panic because it can drag out over a lifetime and kill a lot of people's spirits around us.

This was a good review of Think And Grow Rich
Revisado: 04-23-15
I enjoyed the review of the principles of Think Grow Rich with its more present-day focus. I listen to an audiobook every week to two weeks because it's much more convenient than reading the books. What makes or breaks any audiobook is the presentation of the story or materials by the narrator. Frankly, this is the worst narration of any book I've listen to. I felt like the actor/narrator was trying to play the role of every different character. It was so disruptive. I found myself focused on what the narration. When he tried to imitate women it sounded like a totally effeminate man and I just found it very very distracting to the material. I found the material terrific and I really was enjoying the material at times but I just couldn't deal with the narration. I've never complained about an audiobook before and I've listened to 100-150, but if I were the publisher of this audiobook I would absolutely go back and have it narrated by somebody that can remain neutral or enhance the material, he's not Orson Welles. I really wanted to listen to this a bunch of times and let the info sink in but I just couldn't listen to it anymore. I ended up just deleting it and buying the book...very disappointing. As I listened to the story of how long and hard the process was of writing this book and then struggling for years to get a publisher it is hard to imagine how this final product was found even remotely acceptable.

Historia
When Navy SEAL Adam Brown woke up on March 17, 2010, he didn’t know he would die that night in the Hindu Kush Mountains of Afghanistan - but he was ready: In a letter to his children, not meant to be seen unless the worst happened, he wrote, "I’m not afraid of anything that might happen to me on this earth, because I know no matter what, nothing can take my spirit from me."

Talk about man's search for meaning?
Revisado: 01-19-14
Would you listen to Fearless again? Why?
Absolutely! It is a timeless story of overcoming adversity, learning to love, becoming selfless, being a great father and husband, watch his growth as a Christian man..
Who was your favorite character and why?
Adam Brown, but a very close second is his wife. What a human being she is; to help him thru the worst of things and then lose him as their best of times are growing. They are such a great fit and inspirational as a couple coping and still building a relationship and life and family together.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Not change his voice to the pseudo female voices. I found it very unnatural, therefore distracting and at times hard to understand what he/she was saying. It kept taking me out of the story and the moment and focussing on the reader.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I sure did, both. It also made me look at my own life and how I face or not face important elements of my life. I really felt the true love relationship they had together. I felt deeply about his work with the Afgan kids, hauling clothing in his pack sometimes adding to his load. But I guess that is just who he was, an individual, always ready to help carry another's load. I also marveled at his ability to be a devoted Christian in a SEALS environment.
Any additional comments?
Tell his wife we all love her!!!!
