Why all the conjunctions?

The story is repetitive if you’ve read them. It’s always bathe in someone’s blood, I’m handsome tall and rich but no one wants me, also what’s with the conjunctions! She has a tendency to string two synonyms together with “and”. Like a lot. I.e. you will always have my compassion and empathy, love and devotion, or protection and asylum. Her stories have really good mythology but she’s not a great writer. She writes how women wish men would talk, or how they think men talk when they aren’t around.

He really sounds like the 10th doctor

He is a talented narrator. It’s just the cowardly but arrogant aw shuck around women protagonist that kills me. With his blind devotion to a brother who he knows is going crazy homicidally so. He comes off as less of a prick and more or a criminally immature and codependent youth. Moreover what 16 year old turns down sex this often. By the law of averages he’d slip at least once. Most teenagers only think about sex. Is he some kind of eunuch?

The story is interesting, good even. But why does the narrator sound like hunter s thompson? Or Johnny depps version of him ! Dude! I can hear him either talking through his teeth or he has a cigar holder in his mouth! Wtf!

Good but…

It’s good but when women write mail characters they tend to make them overly emotional instead of rational. The main character is too emotional. How do you go from tough survivor to overly emotional idealist just because of sex. Men don’t think that way.

She mispronounces all the easy words like deign and pronounces things like esoteric correctly, well sometimes. Enhh Gm lush can’t be her first language. Even the syntax is terrible. Weird pause and sentence structure ugh

Ch 19 is the funniest thing I’ve ever heard

Stop freaking whispering!

Takes me out of the story. I am 6 foot , I have sex. I do not whisper to women in bed it’s weird. Men don’t talk like this. Why would we constantly declare how beautiful someone is after saying it the first 3 times. Jesus stop it. You can speak regularly. Why the hell does Sophia sound like mr chow from the hangover. That takes me out of the whole story. I’m like looking to see if she’s supposed to sound Chinese. And she’s not, this guy is just a weird narrator

Nate temple is probably the biggest asshole in literature

I love Shayne Silvers writing, but Nate temple is arguably the biggest asshole in literature bar none . He handles everything like a trust fund baby you went to school with basically validating peoples reasons for keeping him in the dark because he is only good at overreacting and trying to make those who are helping him do so on his terms. The story is compelling if not overwhelming because of the buildup to less than pulse pounding climaxes and then the reaction to said climax is a temper tantrum that you wish you could say: Jesus man are you on the rag??!!
