good enjoyable listen.
Revisado: 05-02-24
liked the story overall. I know the tremendous amount of work it takes to write a book let alone multiple books so it's hard to be critical and not everyone can be happy. I highly recommend this book because it is an enjoyable story. I did find myself skipping a whole chapter at the end and the first half of another chapter because it was redundant. I kinda felt the ending fell a little flat with the wrap to set the next story up. I feel marc has done a great job of this in the past, and do look forward to the continued story.

Inside the jar are several scrolls written by the Essenes 2,000 years earlier, before the Great Jewish Revolt, including one legendary scroll engraved on silver that speaks of what may be the great Lost Treasures of Solomon buried around Jerusalem—consistent with the predictions of the fabled Copper Scroll discovered in 1947 near the Dead Sea.

funny coincidence
Revisado: 12-08-23
I love archeology and mystery but this story is kinda lame. I think it is pretty funny how the author doesnt seem to see the irony of the prosperity pastor and his wealth and the catholic wealth. he talks about the pastors church and private jet and then talks about st Peter's church the next chapter. The catholic church's wealth I am sure darwfs any church in America. it just made me think of the speck in one person's eye while having a log in your own.

when you forget your first love
Revisado: 12-20-22
this is the type of story you get when you focus on the wrong thing. the author seems to dwell on and major on the minor things and forgets Christ completely. it's not about faith and overcoming but about trying to convince the reader of conspiracy theorys which may be true but uncovering them isn't how victory is won. I hope one day a author puts together a real end times book.

Mormons perspective
Revisado: 08-29-22
I hate writing negative reviews but the history of this book is really lacking. it's written from the view point of someone that got their only history lesson from Sunday school lesson. this shows me how lacking the LDS church really does fail its followers. they rewrite history from a 19th century perspective and then continue to endorse the same falsehoods into the 20th and 21st century. it's sad and if you like history and are a Christian I would not recommend this book.

a must
Revisado: 04-02-21
I really feel that this series will revile The Lord of the Rings. This is more then a man getting paid for using a gift of writing. I see many authors just rush things out for what seems commercial sales which isnt in itself a bad thing but This book is art for the soul. It is both refreshes and captivates.I have confidence in the ability and perseverance of the author to produce more great works.

Historia
A shocking discovery in a Native American burial ground in present-day North Carolina reveals a history-changing link to ancient Rome. In 55 B.C. the Roman Senate orders their most honored general, Demetrius Varinica, to cease mourning his wife and return to Rome to lead a fleet on an ill-fated invasion. The general and a handful of survivors from the devastated Fifteenth Legion wash up on an unknown shore and find themselves in a terrifying new world where every moment is a battle to stay alive.

disapointing
Revisado: 12-08-20
couldn't finish I know it's not suppose to be historically accurate the whole way through but I couldn't get over the things like Romans not knowing what a crocodile was when the guy was stationed in Egypt with alligators. Roman centuries were of 80 men. Grizzly bears in South East u.s. they didn't live in tepees thank goodness for the tornado coming so the author quit using it. king herod rebelled with mark antony after this story sets place. I don't mind suspending belief for the sake of a good story but it is very obvious the author did not research any history past a 6th grade history book. that is what was frustrating to me.
