they're all idiots!
Revisado: 12-26-19
those pathetic reviewers that complained about this book, the author's facts and even about what they called a 'speech impediment' are morons!
24 hrs of what could easily have been dry and uninteresting subject matter was made enjoyable, informative and pleasant to listen to.
maybe these fools should try to do better and record their own 24 hrs of lectures. bunch of sniping half wits!
if I had more time I'd really let you know what I think.....

those flat, boring wallflowers that whined about the narrator need to get themselves a personality. they're just idiots.

Revisado: 07-16-19
this was vacuous and incoherent. the storyline was flat and a huge disappointment. the biggest waste of my time with Audible to date. don't waste a credit. in fact, I wouldn't take it for free (again)!

Historia
Paul Schumann, a German American living in New York City in 1936, is a mobster hitman known as much for his brilliant tactics as for taking only "righteous" assignments. But then Paul gets caught. And the arresting officer offers him a stark choice: prison or covert government service. Paul is asked to pose as a journalist covering the summer Olympics taking place in Berlin. He's to hunt down and kill Reinhard Ernst - the ruthless architect of Hitler's clandestine rearmament.

Historia
Both George Orwell and Winston Churchill came close to death in the mid-1930s - Orwell shot in the neck in a trench line in the Spanish Civil War and Churchill struck by a car in New York City. If they'd died then, history would scarcely remember them. At the time, Churchill was a politician on the outs, his loyalty to his class and party suspect. Orwell was a mildly successful novelist, to put it generously. No one would have predicted that by the end of the 20th century they would be considered two of the most important people in British history.
