Historia
Nicole Cutty and Megan McDonald are both high school seniors in the small town of Emerson Bay, North Carolina. When they disappear from a beach party one warm summer night, police launch a massive search. Entertaining
Revisado: 06-17-24
Intriguing story line but not a fan of the ending. However, I will look for other books by this author.

Historia
The New York Times best-selling author of George Washington's Secret Six and Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates turns to two other heroes of the nation: Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. In The President and the Freedom Fighter, Brian Kilmeade tells the little-known story of how two American heroes moved from strong disagreement to friendship, and in the process changed the entire course of history.

Thorough Recount

Kilmeade hits the bullseye with this one. Building the background from childhood to adult, the character of both Douglass and Lincoln are developed to enable the reader perspective as the historical plot develops. Great read for gaining insights into America’s coming of age.

Historia
In the mid-70s, Steve Martin exploded onto the comedy scene. By 1978 he was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Standing Up is, in his own words, the story of "why I did stand-up and why I walked away".

Candidly Brilliant
Revisado: 08-09-22
A longtime fan of Steve Martin, I appreciate the inside look at his trials and tribulations to the top of his craft. At 10, I remember sleeping over at a friend’s and secretly watching Steve, along with the best of the best, perform on “Saturday Night Live.”
My first album ever, was “A Wild And Crazy Guy.” My friends and I were so inspired we attempted to do our version of “King Tut” at our 6th grade talent show.
From reading “Shop Girl,” to frequent rewatching of “Planes, Trains and Automobiles,” there’s no doubt about it. Mr. Martin, you absolutely ROCK!
Your longtime fan,
Melissa (Missi) Siegfried
