Historia
To sustain a mutually fulfilling relationship, the first step is knowing how to change your own behavior to transform the relationship dynamic. Real-life examples illustrate ways to transform desire based on need into desirability based on fullness. The examples focus primarily on couples in loving relationships, but the principles discussed hold true for all types of relationships including parents and children, coworkers, and friends.

Great and practical advice for ANY relationship
Revisado: 08-24-19
Even though the title focuses on the Pursuer and Distancer relationship, I feel like all the advice in the book is extremely valuable for any relationship. The book is well written, simple to follow, yet really good information. It shows that the writer, Alison Poulsen, knows her stuff well. I recognized (my past) myself in many situations in the book, and hoping that my future romantic relationship will be smooth and loving because I plan to apply everything I have learned in the book. As I am single now, I plan to re-listen the book again, when the time comes for me to date again. I highly recommend this book whatever dynamics in your relationship you have because you will for sure learn something that will help you to have an even better relationship.

Awesome book for the finance less experienced
Revisado: 08-04-19
I don't have much deep knowledge of finance and decided to educate myself a little bit more. This book is excellent at explaining the finance terms. The explanations are deeper than if you just google the words. The author gives some history, current state, and connect the term to other terms, If necessary, to make things more clear, he adds examples. I have now more clarity about some finance things that I used to be clueless about, I can't wait for all the other books in the series that are already on the paper to come on the audio.
Possibly, a little enhancement for better listening would be a little longer pause or some sound marker before each new term. Sometimes, I did not realize it was a new term, lost attention/understanding and had to rewind. Not a big deal, really, but it would be a more clear listening experience.

Great education for me, a beginner investor
Revisado: 07-23-19
I've had this book at home in paperback for years, but no time to read. Now I got it on audio, and finally got through it. I know this is a classic, and I really enjoyed it. Some things I will have to go through again. The narration is awesome and the content as well.

Historia
Lack of self-confidence and problems with unhealthy self-esteem are usually the reason why smart, competent and talented people never achieve a satisfying life, a life that should easily be possible for them. Think about your childhood. At the age of four or five, there weren't too many things that you considered impossible, right? You weren't bothered or held back by any kind of criticism; you stayed indifferent to what other people thought of you.

A good practical guide on improving confidence
Revisado: 05-22-17
The book simply written that anybody can easily understand. It gives practical tips and advice how to improve your confidence. As I was listening to the audio book, I realized that it was maybe a little too basic for me. I guess my confidence is pretty ok :-) But we are all at different points in our life journeys, so for many other people this simplicity will be extremely helpful. For me, the last part of the book—the NLP exercises—was the most beneficial as I have not done any NLP training before. I need to also do the exercises (not just listen) to get the full benefit.

There is no talent, it is all about hard work
Revisado: 07-05-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would absolutely recommend it to any of my friends and athlete clients, because you will learn that you can achieve pretty much anything what you set your mind to, if you practice. And practice. And practice. It gives a hope to anybody who starts a new endeavor.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Peak?
I love that it is very based on science. In that point, this book is better than all the other ones that I heard/read before about peak performance.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes, I would love to listen to listen to it in one sitting, but I didn't. I just didn't have that time. But I was listening every moment I had.
Any additional comments?
Through all my adult life I have been learning new skills. Now I started to learn pole fitness at age 51. It feels extremely hard and almost impossible. I have to remind myself daily, that I just need to practice. Purposefully and deliberately. Like with all my other previous skills, I can learn this one too. Just be patient and work. The book motivates me, every day when I start practicing.
