Historia
After her apprenticeship was done and a place in the guild of villains secured, Tori's life was supposed to get simpler. Unfortunately, a poorly timed errand sees Tori caught in the debut of a new team of capes, one wearing an all-too-familiar name. Thrust into the spotlight, Tori will have to navigate her unwanted fame as well as the suspiciously superheroic new neighbors down the hall, all while keeping up with her own villainous enterprises. With the guild no longer a secret, Hephaestus needs to grow as strong as possible to face her mounting threats.

Unreadable
Revisado: 03-05-22
Simply dull drivel no redeeming attributes. No ingenuity, no plot, no distinguishing prose, no literary skills revealed. Just Plain drivel

Wasn't good.enough to finish
Revisado: 08-18-20
Very disappointing from one of my favorite authors. Got only halfway through it. The only plot so far is a possible adultery between the hero and the wife of a guy who may turn out to be the bad guy if the book ever gets to a crime or some other plot than the Dec.

Could not listen
Revisado: 02-11-20
For some reason the female reader's voice was hard to understand. Maybe it was the mic but it was almost like a continuous lisp. The male orator was very clear. I only listened to a about 10 minutes it may be a very good if her voice doesn't bother you.

Oh Please!
Revisado: 09-26-11
Would you try another book from J L Bourne and/or Jay Snyder?
I would not get anything further from this author. The narrator was great.
Would you ever listen to anything by J L Bourne again?
No
Which scene was your favorite?
Any scene which did not totally ignore common sense and or the basic laws of physics and biology.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Anger at the author! The book is an insult to your intelligence. I could not even finish it so I guess I missed the abrupt ending.
Any additional comments?
Under the guise of fiction/fantasy I am willing to accept an author's rearrangement of of some physical laws. I will not accept an author's ignorance of his subject matter nor his suspension of all common sense on the part of his characters. I do not wish to spoil the plot with the many examples of this but I will give one. The author has a floating dock sink, no storm or anything, it just sinks after 3 months due to "the lack of maintenance" Floating dock are essentially plastic flotation material, they do not sink for lack of maintenance
. They may be blown ashore but they do not just sink. This is just a minor example, unfortunately much of the main story line are just as nonsensical
On the plus side. If any producer can get the rights to this book and make a bad movie of it,the plots perfect for that, it would make a great Mystery Science Theater movie.
