Historia
Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She's charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual. Trapped in a shared office together 40 (ok, 50 or 60) hours a week, they've become entrenched in an addictive, ridiculous never-ending game of one-upmanship.

One of Best and Delightfully Fresh
Revisado: 09-05-18
Well worth multiple credits. If you appreciate linguistic gymnastics driven dialogue then you’ll love this romantic story. The love to hate banter between Lucy and Josh propel you into a tightly scripted journey that includes humor and heart-warming sentiments. Excellent narration.

I'm besotted and I'm only on chapter four! Exquisitely written and captivating--I'm hooked so don't wait and give this book a listen to. I'm absolutely in love with the characters and the narration is to die for. Dear Ms. Malpas please oh please write more and more books.

Historia
Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant - hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you. Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark-haired beauty who doesn't bow down. Instead she throws a pie in his face.

Royally Delightful
Revisado: 01-10-17
Emma Chase has done it again. Conventional love story with a sexy steamy British-ish twist. And, Lord have mercy! Shane East is a narration knock-out. The British version of Sebastian York and every bit as yummy. If you're looking for a strong woman character that's not naive and speaks her mind then you'll enjoyed this book. The secondary plot lines with the Prince's brother is good too. Probably Offers a brief glimpse of what their RH's William and Harry had to endure and what American actress Megan Markel is going through now. Hope she ends up with the prince too.

Historia
This transcendent story follows four college friends who move to New York City, buoyed by ambition: Willem, an aspiring actor; JB, an artist; Malcolm, an architect; and, at the center, Jude, a withdrawn, brilliant attorney haunted by an unspeakable past. Through decades of shared and separate lives, Jude’s suffering - and its impact on those who love him - raises questions about the limits of human endurance, the possibility for redemption, and the meaning of friendship.

A Love Story and an Unloved Story
Revisado: 10-09-16
This is an emotionally difficult story to hear. However, and this is a huge however, it is a story that makes you rethink everything you know about compassion. It redefines over and over again what it means to be brave against all odds; to cling to humanity in the face of unspeakable crimes against a person; to rise and succeed when all around you is in turmoil and despair; and it helps the reader understand how the words we speak can damage young minds and souls. The narrator is excellent, 10-star performance. This story will stay with you, well done to Ms. Yanagihara. Also, I truly appreciated the normalcy of depicting gay life--as it should be.

Historia
The story begins in 1962. On a rocky patch of the sun-drenched Italian coastline, a young innkeeper, chest-deep in daydreams, looks out over the incandescent waters of the Ligurian Sea and spies an apparition: a tall, thin woman, a vision in white, approaching him on a boat. She is an actress, he soon learns, an American starlet, and she is dying. And the story begins again today, half a world away, when an elderly Italian man shows up on a movie studio's back lot - searching for the mysterious woman he last saw at his hotel decades earlier.

Revisado: 09-05-16
Unfortunately I was slow to grasp the significance of this wonderful book. I read the reviews but was not moved to purchase. However, once I started listening I simply could not stop. Beautiful Ruins is exceptionally well written and the narrator was superb. Traversing back and forth through decades and with the myriad of characters is a literary journey worth taking. Credit or no credit. Love endures. Life lessons are learned. Bravissimo!

Historia
Jasper Bond turns (female) heads wherever he goes. He can’t dance, isn’t known for his restraint, and his blood heats whenever he’s near his latest employer, the unwittingly sexy Eliza Martin. She insists no one will believe an intellectual like her could be seduced by a man of action like Jasper, but the combination of his desire and her mystery makes the case one he can’t resist. Client satisfaction is a point of pride and it’s his pleasure to prove he’s just the man she needs after all....

Sylvia Day at her Best.
Revisado: 08-15-16
These genre period pieces are what got me totally hooked on Sylvia Day. She is a master at conjuring historical romantic steamy stories. And, Justine Eyre's narrations are lyrical and add so much to the characters. I could listen over and over again. Probably will.
The leads are engaging and the plot moves along. Can't ask for more. Enjoy!

In Charlemont, Kentucky, the Bradford family is the crème de la crème of high society - just like their exclusive brand of bourbon. And their complicated lives and vast estate are run by a discrete staff who inevitably become embroiled in their affairs. This is especially true now, when the apparent suicide of the family patriarch is starting to look more and more like murder....

Angels' Share? I Want Mine! NOW!
Revisado: 08-15-16
Please don't let this be the end of the series. I have to find out if Ms. Aurora is going to make it just a little longer to help her beloved boy Tulane. Jen has turned the corner, there are still too many lovely and ghastly secrets that need to be revealed. Honestly, I could not stop listening. Truly a perfect summer read which could use a little more steamy but the story line carries through. I found myself saying, 'Oh no!' When some mysteries are solved...but are they really? I'm a new fan of J.R. WArd and enjoy her contemporary influences and pop culture mentions. Well done.

I'm Hooked! Please Expedite Book 3!
Revisado: 08-15-16
What made the experience of listening to The Bourbon Kings the most enjoyable?
J. R. Ward was an unknown to me, but not anymore. Some of the previous reviews about this series have not been complimentary. However, for a smooth summer read with just the right of sizzle this effort is a keeper. I enjoyed the contemporary setting with a southern flair and the dark and twisty plot. The narrator could have done better on the female voices but I blame the producer/director. As soon as I finished The Bourbon Kings I purchased the next installment and now I'm already finished with that and still want more. OK, I truly understand the references to "Dallas" and Dynasty but this is not meant to be Tolstoy--it is what it is and I think it's worth the credit.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
You sympathize with Edward and adore their true "Mama", Ms. Aurora. Tulane is reflective and a true hero.

Gideon Cross. Falling in love with him was the easiest thing I've ever done. It happened instantly. Completely. Irrevocably. Marrying him was a dream come true. Staying married to him is the fight of my life. Love transforms. Ours is both a refuge from the storm and the most violent of tempests. Two damaged souls entwined as one.

Revisado: 07-30-16
I kept thinking it would get better, but alas, it did not. What did I miss?! This was so boring. The narrators even sounded bored. Perhaps the highly awaited anticipation of a happy ending that ended not so happily for poor little Ava has kept the audience in rapture but honestly, I'm going to ask for my money back. Ouch this was a yawner.

Romantically Passionate With a Twist of Medieval Dominatrix
Revisado: 07-23-15
Dear Ms. Kinsale: every time I think you have written the best romance novel then I am pleasantly enchanted with another that tops the rest. Shadowheart is possibly one of your best. Every element is introduced with craft and depth. The characters are, of course, emotionally tortured but love prevails with sensual steam and passion. Your talent and choice of narrator is exquisite. More please. Signed, a devoted fan of your inspiring deeply romantic tales.
