What a depressing depraved book. It just went on and on – I couldn’t wait until it was over.

It was a tedious book starting with the parents who made the 1974 trip endangering their two daughters after their Young son had been killed. In suspicious circumstances. Disappointing!

Cheney provides a chronology of the events surrounding January 6,2021. Her personal knowledge of the duplicity of Kevin McCarthy is a major contribution. Her warnings about the threat of Donald Trump to our democracy cannot be ignored.

HCR president a cogent history of American democracy. Excellent portrayal of our current challenges to avoid authoritarianism.

Where does Redefining Reality rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This lecture series is one of the best I have ever listened to - and I have listened to many of the Great Courses offerings.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Professor Gimbel has the amazing ability to combine extremely complex ideas with examples from movies, books, and paintings.

What does Professor Steven Gimbel bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

His witty comments bring chuckles to relieve the tension of trying to comprehend challenging ideas.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Thirty-six lectures have to be savored over time and not rushed.

Any additional comments?

I hope Professor Gimbel will soon have more lecture series for fans of the Great Courses.
