Historia
Lee had expertise in different sciences and 24th-century tech due to learning machines that could transfer an expert's knowledge. He had the latest high-tech weapons. He had acquired the latest protective equipment. He was sixteen and got his great-grandfather's A.I., Anna, to find him a planet that had magic. His A.I. hacked a portal to take him there. He might have bitten off more than he could chew.

OP boring MC
Revisado: 01-14-25
MC has no real challenges, instantly can use magic better than anyone else, has instant knowledge he can pass on to a dark ages culture…at 17. Has plot armor on top of an omnipresent AI shapeshifting cougar…and everyone he meets that challenges him is incompetent. It’s like a 14yr old hero fantasy without any real world experience. Kinda pathetic

Horrible whistling NARRAtion
Revisado: 10-11-23
Narrator needs a speech therapist and a sound editor. Goes from mumbling at an inaudible level to shouting all while periodically whistling at same pitch of a kettle boiling over.
EVEN OUT THE LEVELS and stop WHISTLING! like the word “cosmos” and somehow “was” both sound like a looney tunes character who swallowed a flute. mumble mumm mm AND YOUR SPEED UP SLOW DOWN cadence is not dramatic it’s just annoying.
I wish I could have paid attention to the story, it seems interesting. The performance is HORRIBLY distracting.

Tries too hard to be funny, ends up misogynistic.
Revisado: 10-10-23
Lame jokes and too much focus on leering on the female characters. “Oh boo hoo my wife died, but I can feel her ample breasts through my armor when she hugs me from behind” then “quiet woman!” Hahaha, we all laughed.
Doesn’t help that the narrator sounds like he’s whining most of the time.
And the RPG system doesn’t make much sense.

Insufferable, and the narrators are distracting
Revisado: 09-06-23
The mc is handed everything he needs, is OP and is a white knight to everyone he meets. Seems like a projected fantasy of the author to be the cool guy unsung hero. Has a good premise and the world building and magic system is a decent enough mash up of familiar tropes. But there is no growth, any real danger, antagonists are paper thin, characters are thinner than deli ham. Save the credit.

Historia
For over 30 years, Dominion of Blades has been the hottest online role-playing game in the world. But the game is too real for some, and after an epidemic of real-life fatalities, public use of the immersion technology has been banned. Jonah wakes to find himself in-game, level one, with no memory of how he arrived and no way to eject. With only two companions, trapped in a world that once hosted millions, Jonah must battle his way across a treacherous landscape, fighting virtual monsters, all too real pain, and a very human enemy.

I kept a waiting for something good to happen to the MC’s… and glad it didn’t. Refreshing to have a legit struggle without everything being handed to them for no reason. And the out of game world is much more compelling.

Historia
Benning Kidd is a Drone, the lowest class of humanity. She exists without memory, purpose, or more than the most basic awareness of herself and the world around her. An accident changes all that, and Benning becomes a Citizen of the Collective, the first Drone to do so in history. She is uniquely talented and unscrupulously driven, choosing a path of battle and glory that will take her from arena to arena and out among the stars themselves.

The Narrator needs to learn units of measure..
Revisado: 12-06-22
Or specifically learn to properly pronounce metric units of measure. She pronounces them as they are spelled..so ‘cm’ is ‘sem’ or meters are ‘ems’.
Pulls you out trying to figure out what she is talking about. Like ‘AU’s she pronounces phonetically instead of saying the acronym. It’s not a word!
Kilograms she says ‘kigs’ and kilometers are ‘kilms’ … why can’t she say ‘kilos’ or ‘klicks’ like they are usually shortened to by people who use them?
Otherwise she is good, just sounds ignorant of basic nomenclature.
Story is great. MC seems pretty neurodivergent so it was hard to really identify with her and follow her decisions. She has little to no empathy and is incredibly selfish. The events around the MC and the world building are what kept me interested.

Historia
Of course, if there were only one thing under Liscor, there would be far less to fear. However, the dungeon continues to be a threat. At the same time, Goblins continue to roam northern Izril, but not all of them are as hostile to people as Tremborag or the Goblin Lord. Will the Unseen Emperor of Riverfarm make that distinction, however? A reckoning is coming as old faces and new reemerge. And all the while, The Wandering Inn is still serving food and respite and even plays to adventurers and Antinium alike. But something is coming from the dungeons. And it—they—are hungry.

Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

Insufferable WW over reacting
Revisado: 05-08-22
Will Wheaton was more excited about the lame pop culture references than performing the story. He does pull off the ‘I think I’m funnier than I really am’ vibe that the MC gives off. It just doesn’t make him more likable.
Really interesting concept but the banter dragged it down. The narrator just makes it worse. This seems like the author was projecting his fantasy that folks he thought are really smart would think he is funny and really smart too. But they wouldn’t and he is not. Too bad his thin characters and lame MC was smeared all over his good concept.
3/4s of the way through and had to press stop/eject.
I guess if you thought Big Bang theory was a good show you might like this, similar lame jokes.

Dialogue written by a Mannequin.
Revisado: 04-22-22
The narrator was working with what he got, and delivered staccato, banal characters.
Really seems like the author has never heard human speech patterns outside of poorly translated children’s books.
Couldn’t finish. Save yourself the trouble. Boring and poorly constructed characters.
