Historia
The thrilling follow-up to Scholar - in which, after discovering a coup attempt and preventing a bloody civil war, Quaeryt was appointed princeps of Tilbor - begins a new episode in the young Imager's life. Now second only to the governor, and still hiding his powers as an Imager, Quaeryt is enjoying his new position, as well as his marriage to Lord Bhayar's youngest sister, Vaelora, when a volcanic eruption devastates the old capital of Telaryn. He and his wife are dispatched to Extela, Telaryn's capitol city, to replace the governor killed in the eruption.

What happened?
Revisado: 04-04-25
I have listened to the first three Imager books and liked all of them. They are well thought out and the logic is very interesting. So why are these so badly written?
First, I can understand his reasoning for not telling people he is an imager in the first book even though, duh, it had to be obvious after a while. And as a Princeps … ok, I get it, since it’s not as important but then the book drags because part of the interesting thing about the Imager books is the figuring out logically how to work the imaging to look natural. Then when he starts to command his own Imaging group it’s just farcical to a crazy degree. Not only does he have another group of people who do what he does and can probably keep his “secret,” but the training … where to start? First, he doesn’t train them to have shields - which is crazy since that was the FIRST thing he taught himself to do when he was in danger. And how much easier would it have been to just say “this worked for me,” instead of farting around and implying something different.
Second, I was so happy when him and his wife separated. She was ok with him at first but when he became a governor she was almost unbearable. I get that she was a princess but she wasn’t this way the whole time so why is she suddenly “I’ve had to put up with so much and you owe me,” not to mention the deceitfulness about the house and other things she bought. I was done with it.
And finally, when he imaged the bridge, passed out for days, and STILL acted like he wasn’t an Imager to his other Imagers … just childishness at this point, I couldn’t bear to hear any more foolishness from a writer who wrote such logical books already.

Historia
My name is Vinna, and I've been keeping a lot of secrets. You would too if you'd experienced some of the weird shit I have: red-eyed monsters chasing me, markings on my body appearing out of nowhere, a strange power that crackles colorfully over my skin from time to time, and don't get me started on the weapons I can conjure up almost out of nowhere.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 05-05-24
I got this book free on Audible and I wasn’t expecting such a good story with the reverse harem style.
The supernatural storyline was really well done and had a lot of interesting plot lines that weren’t the usual for this type of story.
I also really liked that they didn’t just jump into bed and that they actually built up relationships and sometimes had issues with each other like real people. It made the story relatable (other than the typical unrealistic “everyone is beautiful and well built” thing that all these stories have).
So I rated it a 4 but it was more enjoyable than that but not quite a 5.

Historia
Killing used to be my regular gig, after all. Gin Blanco, aka the Spider, assassin-for-hire. And I was very, very good at it. Now, I'm ready to make the one hit that truly matters: Mab Monroe, the dangerous Fire elemental who murdered my family when I was 13. Oh, I don't think the mission will be easy, but turns out it's a bit more problematic than expected. The bitch knows I'm coming for her. So now I'm up against the army of lethal bounty hunters Mab hired to track me down. She also put a price on my baby sister's head. Keeping Bria safe is my first priority.

Lots of review
Revisado: 01-30-24
I really like Gin and I want to hear what happens but she goes into so much introspection in the middle of conversations, fights, heck just everything that it’s kinda annoying since you just want her to get on with it.
