Cute Rom-Com!
Revisado: 02-15-23
This was so lovely. Such a cute Rom-Com. I love how the author gave the single mom a way to have fun and fall in love without neglecting her kid. The cross-country trip was so cute, and I loved all the little things they did together, like picking out shirt souvenirs. That ending! Oh goodness, I was in happy tears. It was so sweet and perfect.
I look forward to book three (All Inn Thyme) in this series that comes out March 2nd!
I enjoyed the female narrator and felt she did an excellent job on different depths for different characters and inflection for emotions.

Amazing series!
Revisado: 02-02-23
Just another book to add to my 'Why did I wait this long to read this?' shelf!
I am thoroughly enjoying Simon Wolfguard. He's book-boyfriend-worthy. Meg Corbyn is great too. I love seeing their relationship develop.
This has been a great sequel for the series. Honestly, I just love all the characters.
I'm really excited to read more in this series. Even though I'm listening to audiobooks, I also plan to collect the series for my bookshelf.

As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others. Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job.

I've listened to this book at least three times
Revisado: 02-02-23
Bishop's world-building in this is amazing. It's close enough to reality that it's easy to follow but different enough to be interesting. I love how the characters keep traits of their animal forms and Bishop does an amazing job building the suspense and making you feel what the character feels,
I always recommend this series for people who enjoy Urban Fantasy and constantly read this series as a comfort read.

Historia
James Dommek, Jr., an Alaska Native writer and musician, sheds new light on a real-life mystery that pits Native American folklore against the US justice system. In the vast Alaskan Arctic, legend has it there once lived a mythic tribe—Iñukuns—that only existed in rumors and whispers. This changed forever when an actor-turned-fugitive, Teddy Kyle Smith, had an encounter that brought Iñukuns from myth to reality. Smith was an aspiring actor with a promising career until it all came quickly crashing down with a gunshot, a manhunt, bloodshed, and other frightful events.

Interesting, but only the tip of the iceberg
Revisado: 10-12-21
Overall I found this interesting and I don’t regret listening but I don’t feel like I got the whole story. I wish there was more forensic or police information on the “murder”. Also the legends. I want more. I want the whole legend.

Historia
From Charlaine Harris, the best-selling author who created Sookie Stackhouse and her world of Bon Temps, Louisiana, comes a darker locale - populated by more strangers than friends. But then, that's how the locals prefer it. Welcome to Midnight, Texas, a town with many boarded-up windows and few full-time inhabitants, located at the crossing of Witch Light Road and Davy Road. It' s a pretty standard dried-up western town.

It had potential but fell pretty short.
Revisado: 05-19-18
I had no problems with the performance. The actual plot slightly bored me and when it came to the 'who dun it' I was severely disappointed. I will not continue the series.

Historia
In Lisa Gardner’s first-ever short story following 13 best-selling novels, "The 7th Month" takes listeners between the books and into a day in the life of Boston Detective D. D. Warren.
In her seventh month of pregnancy, D.D. should be taking it easy. Instead, she accepts a small consulting role on the set of a serial-killer film shooting in Boston. D.D. figures she’ll be useful to someone for at least one night, serving as a police expert and making a little extra money in the bargain. It seems like a simple task—until the previous film consultant, a former Boston cop, is found beaten to death.

One of my favorite series!
Revisado: 05-19-18
Nice little filler novella in the world of D. D. Warren. The story was short, nicely paced, and not completely obvious (which is my absolute favorite part of Gardner's writing). As always Kristen Potter does a fantastic job at the narration.
