it was interesting the way all of the survivor stories are layered. I couldn't stop listening as the eggs hatched and the stories were told. the very old stories that were passed down and the new stories of bloodshed and some faint hopes.

I loved this audio book! I didn't want it to end but wanted badly to know what happened next. James Lee Burke as always does not disappoint and weaves a rich tapestry of visual sometimes visceral images. Will Patton narrates flawlessly and makes you feel like you are in the story as it is happening. Thank you everyone for this experience!
