I usually wait a little bit to start the next title after I finish a book, to think about everything. But I couldn’t purchase and download this fast enough. I needed to know what happens next!

I had no clue what the follow up to that ending of the previous book would look like. It was just like holy sh** what?! I was very pleasantly surprised where the story ended up going. This book felt so good and so right.

The complete tone change was really well done. Everything about the setting of the initial two books was completely pulled away from me, like I was going into the unknown along with Rhiannon. I was genuinely worried about what was going to happen next. A bit of an emotional rollercoaster at times.

As usual 10/10 narration. Amazing work with the accents and voices for characters. Nobody else could come even close to narrating this series as well Georgia Maguire- perfection.

I love how the author handles some of the organized crime stuff and how she handles the realism regarding that.

I all of Rhianon’s highs and low’s in this book, all of her happiness, joy, pain, and trauma- it’s bittersweet.

This book kind of gave me everything I wanted out of this type of story in a lot of ways. It was so cathartic and perfect.

This is one of the few stories I’ve read/experienced where the serial killer gets caught and everybody knows what they’ve done. I’m so happy the author chose to do things this way, I’m so tired of the perfect killer story like Dexter where they somehow never get caught. I love how people on the internet become obsessed with her, it’s so real, and hilarious at times. The new characters were unexpected and amazing.

Amazing narration. Very intense and gripping story. Great entry into the series.

I watched the show and loved it, so I decided to try the books. The books are like 10x more violent and messed up, so it was a bit of a surprise for me.

I love the author’s writing style. The internal dialogue is so good and straight up hilarious at times. Rhiannon is a straight up psychopath. Like Dexter but more evil.

I felt really drawn in by this book- especially in the beginning. The pacing is super good, and the narration is just perfect, they could not have picked somebody better.

Without spoiling anything, there’s a bit of a dip in the storytelling in the middle, with a few questionable choices in the direction- but besides that I found it interesting pretty much the whole time. Hoping the rest of the series keeps a good pace that’s similar with this book. What a good entry into the series.

My first Stephen King book. Worth reading.

I love Michael C Hall, one of my favorite actors ever. I wanted to start getting into Stephen King and didn’t know where to start- so I thought this would be a great place.

I wasn’t crazy about the book/audio experience overall, maybe it would have been better if I actually read this one. Michael C Hall did a good job reading, but there was a lot of it that just wasn’t grabbing me for some reason. Sadly I’m not sure he was the best choice for this specific book. As far as the story goes- simple but good. It didn’t blow my mind. I like a lot of the exposition at the beginning… but then it went on for the majority of the book until the conclusion happens. I was a little disappointed hoping this book wasn’t very scary considering King never wanted to publish this book cause it freaked him out too much.

The best parts of the book are where the author asserts his own thoughts, pondering’s, and philosophy about life, relationships- and ultimately the world. He makes really good comparisons between things. It was nice cause it would be during times where the main character was processing something internally- where you’re already taken away from the story a bit- he would kind of throw his own little thing in there, usually short and sweet. I also really like the way King describes a lot of things. Excellent at describing the mundane, and when the few gory details happen, they are vivid and pretty unsettling.

Stephen Fry’s best performance.

Stephen Fry absolutely killed it performance wise in this book. I feel like he really had the vibe of all of the characters at this point and gave it his all. He really added so much to an already incredible book series.

I love this book, and I think the story was very good overall, but I wish the final book was a bit longer after how detailed book 5 & 6 were. I also feel like the ending is a little anticlimactic. By the time I got to the end I remembered feeling the same way the first time I read it. It felt like the final stretch was not given as much consideration as everything up to that point. It just concludes without going into details I really had hoped for, leaving me desiring more and feeling really sad it ended. Maybe she was just done writing lol.

With that being said, it’s still an amazing series and absolutely worth listening to.
