Historia
All her life, Annie has played it nice and safe. After being unceremoniously dumped by her longtime boyfriend, Annie seeks a fresh start. She accepts a teaching position that moves her from Manhattan to a small village upstate. She’s stunned by how perfect and picturesque the town is. The people are all friendly and warm. Her new apartment is dreamy too, minus the oddly persistent spider infestation. Then Annie meets Sophie. Beautiful, charming, magnetic Sophie, who takes a special interest in Annie, who wants to be her friend.

Interesting premise
Revisado: 04-16-25
The is short story is missing a few essential components but provides an intriguing plot nonetheless. I could’ve done with fewer awkward descriptions, Joe hits all the same notes as his father but it just doesn’t hit home here.

By day, his alter ego, Bruce Wayne, wonders whether there may someday be a future beyond skulking the city’s rooftops or the cavernous halls of his stately manor alongside the ever-dutiful Alfred Pennyworth. But even after death, the Clown Prince of Crime’s imprint can be seen in more than just the pavement.

For Pete, his partner Maddie, and the little boy they've been raising for the past two years, life will never be the same again.

An insult to parents of children with special needs.
Revisado: 12-07-24
An intriguing idea that falls flat on its face when one of the children swapped after birth is mentally delayed because of the swap after being deprived of a mandatory oxygen treatment. It’s not just the characters that completely ignore David, it’s the author. Delaney clearly has a very limited understanding of parenthood and makes statements at the end of his C- novel implying that mental disabilities are a punishment to parents and that one family is better off after the switch because they were spared the experience of raising a child with special needs. I mean HONESTLY. Washing my ears out and banning this ridiculous man from my reading list. Can’t believe ITV picked this up, hope they changed a LOT. Waste of $8 and 8 hours.

Historia
In a cottage overlooking the windswept Maine coast, Wilder Harlow has begun the last book he will ever write. It is the story about the sun-drenched summer days of his youth in Whistler Bay, and the blood-stained path of the killer that stalked his small vacation town. About the terrible secret he and his companions, Nat and Harper, discovered entombed in the coves off the bay. And how the pact they swore that day echoed down the decades, forever shaping their lives.

Historia
Kenan Thompson is Saturday Night Live’s longest-ever-serving cast member and a star of such pioneering sketches as “Black Jeopardy” and is hugely beloved thanks to a tidal wave of nostalgic fans who grew up on early 2000s classics All That, Good Burger, and Kenan & Kel on Nickelodeon. He’s also a dad (to two girls) in his mid-40s living in suburbia, and whose universal, relatable, family-friendly humor has created unbelievable appeal and engagement from fans from middle America to coastal elites. Becoming a dad sucked the cool right out of him—and he's OK with that!

The first story was basically a parody of the series, felt more like Scooby-Doo than Sherlockian, but the good news is, the rest of the stories are much better.

Historia
Since his wife died, Ralph Roberts has been having trouble sleeping. Each night he wakes up a bit earlier until he's barely sleeping at all. During his late-night walks, he observes some strange things going on in Derry, Maine. He sees colored ribbons streaming from people's heads, two strange little men wandering around town after dark, and more. He begins to suspect that these visions are something more than hallucinations brought on by lack of sleep.

I loved the story but they definitely need to record a new one of these. The narrator wasn't what bothered me, it's the annoying sound effects and music they overlap with parts of the book where it's really important that you hear what is being said.
