Historia
On a hot summer night, a scientist from the Centers for Disease Control is grabbed by unknown assailants in a shopping center parking lot. Vanished into thin air, the authorities are desperate to save the doctor. One month later, the serenity of a sunny Sunday afternoon is shattered by the boom of a ground-shaking blast - followed by another seconds later. One of Atlanta's busiest and most important neighborhoods - the location of Emory University, two major hospitals, the FBI headquarters, and the CDC - has been bombed.

Amazingly done!!
Revisado: 12-18-19
Wow!!! This was the most amazing book I have ever read. I have loved Slaughter’s style from the moment I began reading her books but this one is the best yet. I was on the edge of my seat when Will and Sara were about to see each other again and I like the way the book was written in each character’s point of view!!! A MUST READ!!!!!!

Wow
Revisado: 10-02-19
Wow! What can I say about this book…there are really no words that I can use to express how I felt listening to this book on my way to work every morning that can truly help someone understand the way you feel listening to all the brutality that Anna had to endure. There were times that I almost stopped reading because it was haunting me both day and night but I felt in the end that although it was about the viciousness and cult like abuse, it was also about survival. Telling myself that Anna was able to endure some of the worst psychological abuse out there and still find a way to pray to nana and the boy in the photo reminded me that there is ALWAYS something to fight for and it helps me to better understand PTSD in my clients which is why I got the book in the 1st place. Well done Anna on surviving, getting out and rebuilding a life for yourself and finally being able to tell your story!! You are truly an amazing woman and I hope you know that!!!

Spoiler—wonderfully written
Revisado: 09-20-19
Ok I will admit that you pulled out in the end with that final twist but the overall way it ended was so sad!! I can’t believe the book ended the way it did and while I do see that it was inevitably portraying the message that they all protected each other in the end, but hat will that do to her to know that she did that to her mother?!? I do love how they all ended up being saved but why didn’t the author save mom over dad? Dad - that would have been a much more believable “happily ever after” so to speak. Other than that tho I love the way the novel was solving the crime in the eyes of the family. That was a very interesting way to write it!!

Historia
FBI Special Agent Matthew Roarke is closing in on a bust of a major criminal organization in San Francisco when he witnesses an undercover member of his team killed right in front of him on a busy street, an accident Roarke can't believe is coincidental. His suspicions put him on the trail of a mysterious young woman who appears to have been present at each scene of a years-long string of accidents and murders, and who may well be that most rare of killers: a female serial.

I am in love with this narrator… His voice is so calming. Poor cara!! With a beginning like that it’s no wonder she is the way she is. At least she is getting rid of the worst of the worst.

The only thing
Revisado: 06-22-18
The only thing I would have loved more is if there a few more hints as to the ending like if the plot developed a little quicker. Don’t get me wrong, I love long books but it seemed like it was too much of the roaming the house in the beginning.

Ugh
Revisado: 06-01-18
Ugh I loved it but why did u have to end it like that!!!??? It was frustrating that things didn’t develop quicker but it was still great. And the twist was unexpected. I don’t really consider it a psychological thriller but I can honestly say that if I would have had similar things happen as a new mother I probably would have reacted the same way.

Really?!?!
Revisado: 05-02-18
Ok I would have enjoyed this book if I would not have expected it to be a psychological thriller!?! The book was ok overall except that you can hear the narrator swallowing every single time she takes a breath but I expected a thriller!! This, in my opinion, is not a psychological thriller because the thriller part doesn’t start until the last hour of the book. Why would they not have the book from Aiden’s POV and it drives me CRAZY when they

Awesome.
Revisado: 01-19-17
I have loved the Will Trent series and this book not only had a good narrator but added an amazing piece to Will's life. I almost wish this book was in the beginning of the series though so that we would have better understood the relationship between Amanda and Will. I think Karin Slaughter is an excellent writer and she thinks of everything!!
