Historia
Four years ago, Lara Spellmeyer left her small-town life in Perry, Oklahoma, to pursue her dream of starting a cat sweater business. After being swept up in online fame and success, Lara is suddenly back home, dealing with her grandmother's poor health and potentially career-ending negative press. The only bright spots are Tight Knit, the knitting circle she starts with her friends, and Kerry, the charming young woman her best friend sets her up with. When Chief Editor Paige Daley asks Lara to appear in her local paper's Hometown Heroes series, it just might restore Lara's image.

Listen, I don't think I've read a book with a more self centered, entitled, unlikable MC. She was consistently rude. Then, she'd gaslight the people she was rude to! The overall story was good, though I feel like a lot of details were omitted. I really liked Paige though. Wish we got her side of it all.

Moving back to her hometown was never at the top of Joy Henderson's to-do list. With a successful career in San Francisco and plenty of opportunity for casual relationships, the last thing Joy wants is to return to the small town she'd planned her whole life to escape. But family obligations pull her back home, and it isn't long before Joy runs into someone she's always dreamed of seeing again - the first girl she ever imagined kissing. Kelsey West.

I liked it, but...
Revisado: 11-21-22
I liked the story, but somewhere along the way, towards the end, it went off the rails. this isn't my first book by the author, and I've loved her other stories. This one started off great, then the end went kind of all over the place. I mean Joy had her issues, but she was at least honest about the open relationship. Kelsey was a female version of a jock that had it all in high school, and spiraled. Joy didn't deserve half of what she got from her. Like, what was with all the disappearing acts? Crazy!

I want to start a new life with my first love, Diego. But his ruthless brother, Cristiano, will do anything to claim me for himself...Because in the de la Rosa family, old grudges run deeper than loyalty, and betrayal is a three-letter word: war. But in this feud between brothers, I'm the prize.

Revisado: 10-19-22
I am so sorry. I really dislike giving a one star, but this book took THIRTY HOURS of my life that I can't get back. The heroine was absolutely, positively, the most infuriating character I've read yet! She fights the male lead until book 3 and it was just... They didn't even do the do until well into book 3. It was maddening.

Historia
Falling stars are supposed to be a lucky sign, but not for Austen. Her new job as a secretary in an international games company isn't off to a good start. Her first assignment - decorating the Christmas tree in the lobby - results in a trip to the ER after Dee, the company's second-in-command, gets hit by the star-shaped tree topper. Dee blames her instant attraction to Austen on her head wound, not the magic of the falling star. She's determined not to act on it, especially since Austen has no idea that Dee is practically her boss.

Not gonna lie, I wish she would do a part 2. I just think there's so much more that could be done with these characters! I wish more authors would take us on the relationship journey with the characters. I thought the ending was really cute though. All in all, really great. Please consider part 2.

I did REALLY enjoy this book. The ending just seemed so rushed. There were so many loose ends. Can we get a part 2??? I would love to continue their journey and watch as they try to figure things out

This book was amazing. While I wish it was a dual poverty so we could her to know Mo more, I loved it. Kate ground my gears with the issues thing, but I loved her too. I have a forever crush on Mo and wish we could get another installment told by her.

Historia
Stockbroker Isabelle Rhodes has a lot of money, a lot of trust issues, and a whole lot of reasons to believe her ex-girlfriend was right when she said that Isabelle sucked at relationships. With that accusation stuck in her head, Isabelle throws caution to the wind and dives into her first one-night stand. Checking that off her bucket list should be something to celebrate - except it turns out that the woman she just spent an earth-shattering night with is actually her newly hired company pilot, Audrey Graham. Ms. Never-See-You-Again just turned into Ms. See-You-Constantly.

Historia
Jess Archer, digital journalist for the internet’s hottest lesbian media platform, has been assigned to research cuffing, from an up close and personal perspective. She’s not sure it’s really her thing, but the assignment gives her the chance to write something more substantial than her usual fluff pieces. All she needs now is a willing lesbian.

Historia
Emmy Harlow is a witch but not a very powerful one - in part because she hasn't been home to the magical town of Thistle Grove in years. Her self-imposed exile has a lot to do with a complicated family history and a desire to forge her own way in the world, and only the very tiniest bit to do with Gareth Blackmoore, heir to the most powerful magical family in town and casual breaker of hearts and destroyer of dreams.

So, I liked the potential of this story. In general, it had a good concept. The main character was a bit selfish and self-absorbed for me. Like, one heartbreak and she was like, "deuces!" Forget family. Forget friends. Her mom tries to talk to her and she's like, "nope. We didn't have that kind of relationship when I was younger, we're not starting now!" Her relationship with her parents didn't make sense. There are several references to her leaving town and this being her first time back, but then there are also several references that she's come back a couple of times. Which one is it? Also, I think the author missed a great opportunity to have the Harlow girls share the burden of the power. That way it wasn't such a stress on one person. Her cousin really got the crap end of it all. Poor girl.

Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Revisado: 07-21-22
I liked the story. The narration is where I had an issue. While I liked her voice overall, her voice for the female characters blended at times. Also, Charlotte is supposed to have a southern accent... it could only be heard once in the story. Also, she made Sutton come off as extremely whiney. Overall, a good book.
