Historia
Shocking news reaches them—an old friend has been killed, and a dangerous package he was protecting has gone missing. The gang's search leads them into the antiques business, where the tricks of the trade are as old as the objects themselves. As they encounter drug dealers, art forgers, and online fraudsters—as well as heartache close to home—Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron, and Ibrahim have no idea whom to trust.

Another fabulous installment of Thursday Murder Club
Revisado: 11-02-24
I really enjoyed this one. I was especially touched by Stephen’s acceptance/realization of his dementia diagnosis; I cried many times. I love all the characters.
The supporting characters were so interesting including Computer Bob and Connie, the drug dealer.
In this installment, you learned more about Ibrahim’s backstory and his professional life, the door was opened for a potential relationship.
I am looking forward to the next book.

It is an ordinary Thursday, and things should finally be returning to normal. Except trouble is never far away where the Thursday Murder Club are concerned. A decade-old cold case—their favorite kind--leads them to a local news legend and a murder with no body and no answers. Then a new foe pays Elizabeth a visit. Her mission? Kill or be killed. Suddenly the cold case has become red hot.

Elizabeth, Joyce, Ron and Ibrahim—the Thursday Murder Club—are still riding high off their recent real-life murder case and are looking forward to a bit of peace and quiet at Cooper’s Chase, their posh retirement village. But they are out of luck. An unexpected visitor—an old pal of Elizabeth’s (or perhaps more than just a pal?)—arrives, desperate for her help. He has been accused of stealing diamonds worth millions from the wrong men and he’s seriously on the lam.

Great Characters
Revisado: 06-04-24
This series is one of my favorites. Elizabeth, Ron, Joyce and Ibrahim are a fabulous team. The supporting characters of Donna, Chris and the brooding and sexy Bogdan add some fun and interesting components to each novel. These mysteries are interesting and multifaceted and there is never a dull moment in this senior living community.
Once you start listening you will be quickly drawn into their lives and adventures.
I highly recommend this series.

At age 26 Agatha Raisin has already come a long way. She has clawed her way up since leaving the Birmingham slum where she was born. She's lost her Birmingham accent, run away from her drunken husband, and found a job at a public relations office as a secretary. Then her boss asks Agatha to go to the home of Sir Bryce Teller to tell him that he is soon to be arrested for the murder of his wife and that the agency no longer wants to represent him.

Good background on the beginnings of Agatha Raisin’s career
Revisado: 04-16-24
I had recently finished the first book in the Agatha Raisin series and really enjoyed it, so much do that I wanted to listen to the next one.
I saw this version on Audible and gave it a try. Agatha is an interesting character, this story shows her as a young woman at the beginning of her career and the people who helped start her public relations firm. I am a mystery book fan and the story had both a good mystery and great characters, it is a fun cozy series.
The narrator was excellent, I highly recommend for a short audiobook.

On 1st of December, renowned puzzle setter, loner and Christmas sceptic Edie O’Sullivan finds a hand-delivered present on her doorstep. Unwrapping it, she finds a jigsaw box and, inside, six jigsaw pieces. When fitted together, the pieces show part of a crime scene – blood-spattered black and white tiles and part of an outlined body. Included in the parcel is a message: ‘Four, maybe more, people will be dead by midnight on Christmas Eve, unless you can put all the pieces together and stop me.’ It’s signed, Rest In Pieces.

A great Christmas mystery
Revisado: 12-28-23
I have listened to all of the Christmas mysteries but this was my favorite. The character of Edie was a favorite. The narrator was the best.
I am hoping that there will be another story with this character.
I highly recommend this book.

This is my second selection in the series. I really enjoy the character of Maisie and as the story unfolds new clues keep being revealed along with the excellent description of the post WWI era.
I know I will continue listening to the books in the series.
For those of you who listened to the first novel with a different narrator, don’t worry you adjust very quickly and enjoy Kim Hick’s narration.

Two words: the bullet. That's all it takes to shatter her life. Caroline Cashion is beautiful, intelligent, a professor of French literature. But in a split second, everything she's known is proved to be a lie. A single bullet, gracefully tapered at one end, is found lodged at the base of her skull. Caroline is stunned. It makes no sense: She has never been shot. She has no entry wound, no scar. Then, over the course of one awful evening, she learns the truth.
