Historia
When wild child Sophie Deiner - the daughter of an Amish bishop - is forced to return to Nappanee, Indiana, quilt-shop owner Jane Berger is one of only a few who welcome her back. It’s the last place she wants to be, but Sophie’s recent illness requires that she lay low for a while. As Sophie recovers, she befriends a group of migrant workers and is appalled when one of them is detained and threatened with deportation. Sophie begins advocating on their behalf but soon finds herself opposed by an ex-boyfriend, who is the farm foreman.

I enjoyed the historical parts and that Amish love stories are clean and include modern day issues

Historia
Meredith Hunt is content with her solo life. She owns and runs a successful Pilates studio, volunteers at the high school every week, and recently bought a house. She can take care of herself, which is good because she has a hard time relying on other people. When she's mugged and a handsome man comes to her rescue, she doesn't know how to accept his help - or how to stop staring into his brown eyes. Ace Vance moved to Bridgeport to offer his 15-year-old son, Finn, a better life. Here, Finn has a chance to play football for a good team and maybe even earn a college scholarship.

Good storyline, except for sex and poker comparisons
Revisado: 03-14-23
I thought this was a Christian book. But it talks about having sex before marriage and I disagree with that as the Bible does. Other than that it would’ve been a good book but the parallels to Pilates and poker also attracted.
