Excellently told
Revisado: 06-25-17
This is excellent. Better in fact than the showtime interview. Get to know Russia and Putin through these interviews. Don't let the mainstream media poison you to Russia or the Russian President. Worth your time and quite interesting as well.

Very good.

Darn, it's over. Was very much enjoying it. The reading was spectacular. The store very good. It keeps you wondering how it will make sense because at first it doesn't. But it will.

Horrible narrator
Revisado: 03-21-14
Would you be willing to try another one of Suzanne Toren’s performances?
NO!!! Insanely horrible reading. It would be common sense for the reader to listen to a prior reading just for the sake of consistent pronunciation. Obviously the best thing to do is stick to one narrator throughout the series of books. However, when that can't happen for whatever reason it would be good if the new reader would listen to the old reader and get a sense for the pronunciation used in the past.
The original did such a good reading. I think this is the 3rd or 4th reader for this series. I thought the last one was bad, this one is even worse!
Any additional comments?
Audible, while I realize you don't own all the audio companies that record these books there still needs to be some kind of consistancy. How exactly that is done I don't know. But some of these readings are so bad it boggles the mind.
And lastly, I hate all these idiotic questions. I just want to write a review. Unless there is some direct link for other books we can menu select, I don't see the point of typing in other books I'd suggest readers of this book read. You guys don't seem to understand technology at all. Fire the morons and hire people with common sense. This method you employ is really really stupid.

Historia
Clare and Henry have known each other since Clare was six and Henry was thirty-six. They were married when Clare was twenty-three and Henry was thirty-one. Impossible but true, because Henry is one of the first people diagnosed with Chrono-Displacement Disorder: periodically his genetic clock resets and he finds himself misplaced in time, pulled to moments of emotional gravity from his life, past and future.

best audible book by far
Revisado: 04-14-04
When I first started listening to this, I thought it was kind of strange. Henry's age, and the date are presented so that we know "when" Henry is. Henry shifts from one time to another, and the duo of readers read their characters so pleasantly that before long, we find Henry and Clare so interesting and so personal that I for one could not stop listening to this story.
This is really a great love story, but I am a 36-year-old guy that likes watching films where things blow up, and I am not much of a sentimentalist. Well, I thought I wasn't until I listened to this book. Clare's character, as read by Maggi-Meg Reed is absolutely wondrous to listen to. Her manor is quite captivating and friendly. You become Clare's friend listening to what is essentially a great story of Clare's love for Henry. Henry De Tamble, read by Christopher Burns is equally great. You explore Henry's many periods in time. They all center on import events in Henry's lifetime both past and future.
I am still in awe that this book represents the author's first published novel. I love this book so much; I bought a copy for a friend. I can't believe anyone would think this an average story. It is unique, and balanced, and as my first review of a book ever, I think it moved me more than any story or movie I have ever read or seen. I started to listen to it a second time already. I miss hearing Clare and Henry. I know, get a life, but this book is that good.
To the author, if you have read this review, let me congratulate you. Your book had a 36-year-old shallow male guy crying and sobbing like a 4 year old kid that just dropped his ice cream. Henry and Clare really moved me. Don't let them ruin this as a movie; instead, it would need to be a mini series. The real strength of your story is the absolute flawless character development. You have written the perfect book, and I for one cannot wait to see or hear what you decide to do next.
