Historia
Sundays in the South is the story of God’s redemption and his faithfulness to a couple who has not always been faithful to him. It’s a story of a God faithful to his church despite its warts and blemishes. Follow along with Tom as he recounts their year-long trek and perhaps be inspired to take a journey of your own.

Really Interesting Perspective
Revisado: 11-25-23
This was a pretty cool read/listen! Tom and Linda attend over 50 churches throughout the year. It's an interesting perspective to hear from church visitors at over 50 locations - what is memorable to them, what connections and relationships are formed from their journey, and how God uses this experience to encourage Tom and Linda as well as the people they encounter. There's a lot packed into this book - lots of spiritual encouragement, insight into churches in the south, and a unique perspective regarding what the Lord is doing in His church!

Historia
Set in the bucolic town of Angie, Louisiana, The Lord’s Acre tells the story of Eli Woodbine, a young boy who watches helplessly as his fundamentalist parents give in to their increasing sense of desperation and paranoia, living in a world where they can no longer see any hope or reason for existing. When the family is at their absolute lowest, they come across a local, charismatic church leader, in whom they quickly place all of their faith. Yet this man—known to them only as “Father”—is unlike anyone they have ever encountered before.

Incredible story - beautifully written & narrated
Revisado: 10-27-22
An incredibly story about a young boy who is faced with many difficulties, namely strict parents who are anti-establishment, as well as extreme poverty. They find help and peace in a church (more specifically, a cult), but what follows is both heart-breaking and mysterious. It's a story with few heroes in the end; instead, we see the realization that the line between the hero and the villain is often blurred. I'm looking forward to reading more from David Armand and hearing more from Frank Morris.
