Sorry to leave the ladies out but good grief that performance was amazing and sexy AF.
You, Mr. Morgan, need to narrate all the things.
The story line took a couple chapters, but was so worth it, both narrators were great, though I seriously can’t remember anyone else’s name other than Josh/Jacob. You’ll understand 😉. Production quality was also top notch. Although her narration could have been a little less wooden. Or maybe that was just me drowning in a sea of jealousy because no man should be able to narrate a story and sound that sexy, dangerous, sweet, and funny.

Loved every second!

I’ve loved all of Abby J’s books. Every single one! I read and listen to audiobooks during almost every spare minute of the day and will pick apart the story, sound quality, narration, and grammar. This book though… this book is perfect for the genre, in all the ways that matter, with the best blend of humor, drama, and romance. And oh gawd, the scene with the drunk mom and her best friend... I’m still laughing and am waiting for the perfect moment to use the Titanic line 😂

A good story made amazing by Roger Clark

Admittedly, Roger Clark could read the alphabet on loop 24 hours a day and I’d listen to it. The story was slow to get started but again, Clark keeps you engaged. Make it to chapter 10 and I promise the story won’t let you go until the end.

I really wanted to like this story- I love a good sexy fantasy romance- but for ffs could author’s stop buying reviews? Thats what sold me on using a precious credit (that Audible won’t refund, because they suck too).
First, the story started really well. And wow, the narration is seriously top notch. No, that’s not sarcasm. I can see so much potential on where this could have gone. All the ingredients are there for a great book, but the ridiculous plots twists and segues for no reason were such a huge disappointment.

Mac is Scarlet O’Hara?

I was really looking forward to this book. I’ve read them all and this is my first of the Fever audiobooks.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t get very far so I’m not going to judge the story, but any southern girl listening to this is probably rolling her eyes. I know that Mac is a southern girl but this is not Tara and Mac is not Scarlet O’Hara. No southern girl from any of the regions with their different dialects, under the age of 50, sounds like this. Bless her heart...

Beautiful, funny, and I listened twice

Even as a straight girl, who stumbled across this book accidentally, I have to say that this story is beautiful, funny, sweet, and sad. The lyrical prose of the first chapter created such a visual and I was hooked from there. There are moments that are snort chuckle funny, and the narrator does an amazing job- especially with the older lady voices. Memaw, the grandmother of the main character, was the source of much of the above mentioned snort chuckles.
Overall, this is in my top 5 books of 2020. Highly recommend.

Amazing Storytelling

Ever listened to a book that was so good that you don’t even want to start another because it couldn’t possibly be as good? That’s where I am right now.
I’ve read most of Harper’s books but this is the first audiobook of hers that I’ve listened to. I was quickly and completely absorbed in the story. Shanahan’s narration was wonderful. Such an excellent delivery without the odd character voice changes that many authors make narrators do. 5 stars across the board.

Just when you think...

First, I LOVED this audiobook. Wonderfully narrated, and an amazing story. While many books are written with twists and turns that culminate into a big ending... this book, oh wow this book, has twists then reveals, then more turns and reveals, and then more. It’s everything I love in a stand alone book. So satisfyingly wrapped up that I couldn’t possibly want more. Well done! 👏👏👏

Made the road trip super short!

Listened to this on my weekend trip. Just loved it! Though it did make me miss two exits and added an extra twenty minutes at the last fill up since I didn't want to get out of the car. Highly recommend!
