I love everything about this series and the other ones that Tilly Wallace has published on audible. It looks like the 6th book of this series is set for release June 2024, so I will hold out hope for the next three books to become available around that time. I am also keeping my fingers crossed for the wolves series to be added to audible as well.
I love this author and I think the narrator is a perfect fit for these books!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
As cliche as this sounds, I really don't ever write reviews on books. I felt I would be doing potential listeners an injustice by NOT warning them about this narrator.
Has Embers at Galdrilene turned you off from other books in this genre?
I guess I am going to have to find it at the public library, but that is already becoming a hassle. I was really excited about this book! I really do think the book itself holds great promise, although I couldn't make it very far without wanting to bang my head on my steering wheel. I do look forward to reading this book the old fashioned way. This storyline is right up my alley and I refuse to let a horrible narrator stop me from a new series. :)
Would you be willing to try another one of Valerie Gilbert’s performances?
Definitely not. She sounds like Siri! She makes stops between the middle of words and it frustrated me to no end. I know I would have liked the book and I tried to tough it out, but I couldn't make it even to chapter 4.
