Historia
Annie Collins is back! Becoming an overnight celebrity at age 16 should have been a lot more fun. Not helping matters: she’s the only kid in school with her own pet spaceship. She would love it if things found some kind of normal, but as long as she has control of the most lethal - and only - interstellar vehicle in existence, that isn’t going to happen. Worse, things appear to be going in the other direction.

The wrong narrator
Revisado: 08-30-23
The use of a male with a flat affect for a story with a strong female protagonist was a huge mistake. The story was great.

Historia
When unforeseen circumstances during an innovative—and unsanctioned—commercial asteroid-mining mission leave two crew members stranded, those who make it back must engineer a rescue, all while navigating a shifting web of global political alliances and renewed Cold War tensions. With Earth governments consumed by the ravages of climate change and unable to take the risks necessary to make rapid progress in space, the crew must build their own next-gen spacecraft capable of mounting a rescue in time for the asteroid's next swing by Earth.

Disappointing
Revisado: 03-14-23
Love his books. But this one was a slog! Did not add to the series at all. The plot was dry and boring.

Historia
The world has changed. Now, when someone is murdered, they almost always come back to life—and there are professionals, called “dispatchers”, who kill in order to save lives, to give those near the end a second chance. Tony Valdez is a dispatcher, and he has never been busier. But for as much as the world has changed, some things have stayed the same. Greed, corruption, and avarice are still in full swing.

More dispatching needed
Revisado: 11-25-22
Great story. Needs more sci-fi. I want to know why everyone isn’t going around criming then traveling by bullet to escape

Get a different narrator
Revisado: 06-25-21
Sounded like he was spitting when he spoke. Huge gross out factor. Good story. I’m glad it was short. Would not have wanted to listen to a full length book with this narrator.

Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

There are so many things wrong with this book
Revisado: 08-15-19
When I read Crouch's "Dark Matter" I thought I would be a fan for life. But now I'm not so sure.
"Recursion" was disappointing to say the least. It felt like Crouch was all over the place. I wanted more explanation about the consequences of FMS and more examples in Book 1. The revelation that the memory chair was a "time travel" device fell flat after we had heard all about Barry's second life. Then the recurring timelines! This part needed a good editor and went on way too long. I didn't feel like each timeline brought anything new to the story. The ending was a complete let down / cop-out.
Narrator: I was extremely disappointed with Abby Craden's performance. She had a great tone for character voices, but her general narration was terrible. Between her whiny tone and the vocal fry I almost gave up during her first performance. I will never get another book that she narrates.
