Historia
At a critical time in American life, Parker J. Palmer looks with realism and hope at how to deal with our political tensions for the sake of the common good - without the shouting, blaming, or defaming so common in our politics today.

Compelling and common sense inspiration. Parker Palmer's message is increasingly important in these times.

Historia
The chartered Zarathustra Company had it all their way. Their charter was for a Class III uninhabited planet, which Zarathustra was, and it meant they owned the planet lock stock and barrel. They exploited it, developed it and reaped the huge profits from it without interference from the Colonial Government. Then Jack Holloway, a sunstone prospector, appeared on the scene with his family of Fuzzies and the passionate conviction that they were not cute animals but little people.

This 60 plus year old novel holds up extremely well today

I liked everything including the features of the story and the language that may seem dated to some. In fact it improved the story.

Historia
When a body is discovered at the lake in Paradise, Police Chief Jesse Stone is surprised to find he recognizes the murder victim - the man had been at the same AA meeting as Jesse the evening before. But otherwise, Jesse has no clue as to the man's identity. He isn't a local, nor does he have ID on him, nor does any neighboring state have a reported missing person matching his description. Their single lead is from a taxi company that recalls dropping off the mysterious stranger outside the gate at the mansion of one of the wealthiest families in town....

Don't bother.
Revisado: 02-12-21
This is a totally unengaging story and performance. I like Jesse Stone mysteries. But not this version. Usually I give the book more of a chance but in this case I want nothing more to do with it. It is not worth the time or money.

Historia
Some lines should never be crossed. Police corruption, an investigation that ends in tragedy and the mystery of a little girl’s silence – three unconnected events that will prove to be linked by one small town. While detective Cormac Reilly faces enemies at work and trouble in his personal life, garda Peter Fisher is relocated out of Galway with the threat of prosecution hanging over his head. But even that is not as terrible as having to work for his overbearing father, the local copper for the pretty seaside town of Roundstone.

Really well done. I recommend highly. The performance is also great. Conner Reily is Irish Harry Bosch.

Revisado: 02-10-18
the story is great but something about the performance of the reader bothers my. the reader's voice inflections were sometimes annoying, seemed like at times overscting and at other times seemed to miss the point and detracted from the story. sorry to be harsh but the story is of the same quality as Tony Hillerman. perhaps I should have read it rather than listen.
