Historia
A small-town single mom like me has no business believing in fairy tales. But the very handsome, charming, dirty-talking prince (yes, seriously) I met nineteen months ago now has his fine ass and panty-melting grin planted on my front porch. He’s been searching for me ever since I snuck out after our hot, fantasy-filled weekend together. And, dammit, that’s a little romantic. Now that he’s found me, he wants to pick up where we left off. Because he thinks he’s in love with me.

You get a lot for your credit on this one!
Revisado: 01-23-25
4.5 stars. I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Connor Crais and Amelia Hugh. This duet narration was incredible. I usually find the male voice more appealing than the female's, but in this case her voice really got my attention, too. Both voices were incredibly well matched for the characters.
I fell in love with the writing of this author years ago. This may be the first book I've read under this name, but the storytelling is still just as wonderful as in her other books. There may be a little more heat in this book than in her others.
This is the story of Cian going back to find the woman that rocked his world years ago and then disappeared. He happens to be royalty in a small country. Scarlett is the woman he's looking for. She is a mechanic in a very small town in the U.S. She doesn't know his background until he shows up again. Then she resists his efforts to get back together, due to the fact that she sure doesn't see herself as princess material.
This was a really good book made even better by the narration of the audio. If you love a good romance with lots of character development, lots of family and some steam, you can't go wrong with a book by Erin. This is also a fairly long one, so you'll get lots for your money or credit!

A short audio of love.
Revisado: 01-04-25
This is the sequel to His French War Bride: Normandy. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Rebecca Fine. There were many different voices and accents in this book that the narrator did perfectly.
In this book Christine has been working as a translator while Harry was transferred closer to the front line. Neither knows if they will ever see each other again and neither are sure of the marriage proposal and acceptance at the end of the last book will carry through to when they see each other again.
This is a pretty short story that is full of love.

A good, short story of love during wartime.
Revisado: 01-04-25
This novella length audiobook narrated by Rebecca Fine was an enjoyable listen. The narration included accents that added to the story.
The story is about Christine, who is working as a translator while she waits for her father to be released from a prisoner of war camp. She is also a member of the French Resistance.
Is is Lieutenant Harry Dean's responsibility to discover if she is really being truthful in what she tells them. He is also very attracted to her.
This was an interesting story based in a tough time for everyone involved. It goes to show that love can exist in even those circumstances.

The only thing I’ve ever wanted was to forget what happened that night so I could move on with my life. An impossible feat, considering the demons of the past refuse to let me go. Jumping head-first into the unknown seems like a good place to start. So I move out of my childhood home and away from the pain lurking around every corner. It would have been a great start if not for my new next-door neighbor, who slightly resembles a Yeti. His attitude does little to convince me he’s not.

Deeply emotional!
Revisado: 12-30-24
This was my first book by Ariana Cane. I listened to the audio version of the book narrated by Angelina Rocca and Jason Clarke. The narrations were perfect for this kind of dark and very emotional story. The pacing was perfect.
This story was worthy of a box of tissues. Alicia and Mark are both damaged souls. They have both been through a lot in their lives. Alicia was a victim of s. assault years before and has struggled ever since. Mark sees himself as trailer trash. This really was a pretty dark book, but it being written with so much compassion for the characters was a bright spot. Alicia makes enough progress with her issues throughout the book, that you do begin to see the sun at the end.
The love in the book really stood out. Mark loved Alicia to the moon and back. He was a very likeable character, even if he didn't like himself very much. The two definitely brought out the best in each other.

I might be a famous rock star, but inside Fork Lick, NY, my biggest fan is a Merino sheep named Baabara. I’ve got a hundred reasons why I’ve avoided my family since graduating high school and never looked back – but when my big sis Colleen makes me an uncle times two, I need to meet her little bacon bits. It’s supposed to be an easy breezy visit – rock the babies, quality time with the sheep, and a nice family argument or three.

Humor, romance, and lots of family drama!
Revisado: 12-19-24
I listened to the entire series on audio narrated by Erin Mallon and Alastair Haynesbridge. Over twenty hours and I never got tired of these narrators. They both have voices that are easy to listen to, and once again, thank you for keeping your volumes level. It is greatly appreciated!
This is the last book in the series and it is about the youngest of the Bedd siblings, Jackson. Jackson is almost the black sheep of the family (sorry Baaabra), because he left the farm to become a famous rock star. Now he's back to try to help save the farm. His not love/love interest is Bella, whom upon his arrival he discovers is living in his grandmother's house.
Just like the others in the series, this book is full of humor, romance, and lots of family drama. And of course, Baaabra, who decidedly has the sheepish hots for Jackson. This one also includes a couple of chapters at the end that center on Gran. Don't skip those!!!

Everyone in my small town thinks I’m the sweet one in the Bedd family, but after a year of financial drama on our farm and a lifetime of being in my hot brothers’ shadows, this kindergarten teacher needs to blow off some steam. When I meet a sizzling hot reality show chef named Bacon, that steam quickly becomes an inferno and before I know it, my one-night-stand has me screaming “Yes, Chef!” all night long.

A baking show!
Revisado: 12-14-24
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Erin Mallon and Alastair Haynesbridge. They have done the whole series. I normally don't like it when multiple books in a series are narrated by the same performers, but I have to say it isn't bugging me this time. I really love their voices, so that may be why. They do a fantastic job of making the individual characters come to life.
This story centers around the only female of all the Bedd siblings, Colleen. Her love interest is Bacon, who has been participating in a baking show. The two come together after Colleen is in the audience of the show, and things really heat up fast.
I loved the antics involved in their coming together, the ridiculous things she says to him, and the funny name for a particular body part. I also loved the "pork party" her family threw when he was introduced to them. I'm all for slapstick type humor, and this had plenty!
The funnies remind me of books by Jill Shalvis. I really do think the narration adds a lot to the story. The narrators' deliveries are just so good!

Cows are better than people–a fact I've sworn by until the irresistibly upbeat Molly comes barreling into my life, running my farm stand and bringing the summer heat with her. She's also working for Fork Lick’s most debt-ridden business: my family's farm. I try to stay out of that manure pile. Except the crush I have on her makes me think about doing things like smiling all day and patching up my relationship with my brother.

Awesome!
Revisado: 12-14-24
This is the second book in the Farm 2 Forking series. I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Erin Mallon and Alastair Haynesbridge. They both did an outstanding job. It was very easy to listen to--their voices are pleasant and pretty much stay on an even sound level, which I really appreciate in an audio book.
This is very much a grumpy/sunshine, opposites attract story. Molly is very outgoing and bubbly, while it is hard to even get Alex to talk most of the time (he did do pretty well during the steamy scenes, though). He is also her boss. Alex definitely has some issues with his family created in his past and Molly is struggling some with her father.
Butter You Up is mostly funny and upbeat. It was great to see Molly bring Alex around to being more sociable, especially with his family. And there are farm animals! This book reminded me of books by Erin Nicholas and Jill Shalvis. Romance, steam and funnies all mixed up together! I'm ready for the third in the series. Did I mention farm animals?

I know what I’m hiding. But the guy I left in bed after a steamy one-night stand…I haven’t a clue what’s going on behind those Clark Kent glasses of his. I’ve met his goofy dog Gomer, his social media-obsessed grandmother, and his sheep that lives in a palace. I know he wears a three-piece suit and a flannel shirt equally well–not to mention what he looks like underneath. I know he abruptly quit his job at that evil conglomerate.

Such a humorous romcom!
Revisado: 12-13-24
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Erin Mallon and Alastair Haynesbridge. They are narrating this whole series, and they couldn't be any better. I will say that sometimes I wish there would be a little difference from book to book in the series, but they are so good that I can definitely live with it!
This particular romcom is about Sam and Diane, who had a one night stand years ago. Now they are both on Sam's family's farm and things are definitely complicated. When you add in all the family shenanigans (boys will be boys) and the animals, you get a really humorous read.
I loved that Sam has a support dog and how the dog soothes him. There are questions raised about Sam possibly being neurodivergent and what that means for him. Diane is perfect for him!!!
For fans of Jill Shalvis and Kristan Higgins.

Waking up hungover in the sheep pen is the least of my problems. The worst? A foreclosure notice for my family farm. Scratch that. The actual worst is the woman delivering the news: my ex, who broke my heart and left me behind for the big city. I’ve spent a decade trying to forget Lia Thorne, and now she’s the only one who can help my family dig ourselves out from our crushing debt and even stronger egos.

A sheep named Baaabra! Hilarious!
Revisado: 12-13-24
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Erin Mallen and Alastair Haynesbridge. Ms. Fallen is one of my very favorite narrators. She did a fantastic job with the narration. Her delivery is perfect for the humor in the book. Their voices work very well together for this story.
This is a great romcom that is the first story in a series written by different authors. This particular one starts out with Ethan trying to figure out how to save his family farm. The woman sent by the bank to try to help turns out to be no other than Lia, his old girlfriend.
This second chance trope is very fun. I loved the sheep named Baaabara, and especially the way the characters said her name. I also loved that Ethan was so supportive of Lia when her chronic illness was flaring. I also suffer from an invisible illness, so I really connected to that. I happen to have my own Ethan in that respect. Then there is the hot farmer holding baby animals. Lia really didn't stand a chance in resisting Ethan.
If you like a good flirty romcom, you should give this a try.

So much good in this one!
Revisado: 10-28-24
I listened to the audio version of this book narrated by Patrick Zeller and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. I loved both of their voices. The difference in his voice (the normal volume vs. the softness he used at times) at times by Patrick Zeller gave me some issues trying to hear when out walking. Other than that, their voices were delightful and pleasant to listen to in this dual narration.
This story by Amy Knupp included single parents, second chance at love, friends to loversk, contemporary romance. Ben and Emerson are both single parents. When Emerson and her kids suddenly find themselves homeless, Ben invites them to move in. He's a vet immersed in animals. The llama is the best! Emerson is trying to do what's best for her kids, but if she finds some time for a little friends-with-benefits action, why not???
This was a wonderful romance with lots of interesting characters (including the animals). I definitely want to keep up with this series!
