Yes it IS for people with ADHD!
Revisado: 01-30-23
As someone diagnosed with ADHD and depression this book, and the struggle it describes, was very relatable for me.
It has been mere days, and the strategies this book has taught me have already made a noticeable difference in my home and with my temperament.
I've also found myself excitedly sharing these strategies with others in my family and among my friends who have similar struggles.
ADHD and depression does not manifest the same way for everyone, so, even if you have ADHD and/or depression, this book might not be for you.
However, I would like you to warn you away from one-star reviews that claim the uselessness of this book based on a narrow definition of ADHD and a frustration with Audible's return policies.
The first chapter of this book describes exactly who it is for. If you are worried about returning it then skip the introduction and credits and go straight to the first chapter.

What wonderful character development! That's the most important thing to me. If you love deep characters who don't stray from their identity to be shoehorned into a narrative they don't fit, you'll love this series too.

Historia
The colonists from the Pathfinder have arrived on Kaguya, a planet with low gravity but a very dense atmosphere. It’s fun to jump around, but the air makes you loopy - and worse than that, the heavy atmosphere means that wind storms, although rare, are absolutely devastating. Zero and Nyx help to get everything locked down before the first big storm, but they stumble onto a group of thieves who have stolen some mining equipment. Before the kids have a chance to get away and tell anyone, the storm hits and the massive winds carry them far away.

I love how it explores physics and biology for kids. It delves deep enough to get into some of the complexity, but doesn't get confusing.

From Brandon Sanderson, the number one New York Times best-selling author of the Reckoners series, Words of Radiance, and the internationally best-selling Mistborn series, comes the first book in an epic new series about a girl who dreams of becoming a pilot in a dangerous world at war for humanity's future.

Not Sanderson's best.
Revisado: 08-05-19
Narration was fine, though a colloquial glottal stop (ha'nt instead of hadn't) was distracting, but I'm oddly picky.
Story was pretty good, though it felt a little phoned-in. I feel like Sanderson might weild a little too much clout, and editors might be to afraid to challenge him. in particular, there was an A.I. in the book that was downright pitifully written. It overreached in attempted humor, being obviously and highly predictably dismissive of human intelligence, constantly going out of the way to underline, vocally, that it was a robot. It felt like there should have been a sitcom studio "laughter" sign in the corner, lighting up at the end of each of his lines, given how forced and obvious it's attempted humor was.
Otherwise, the book was interesting, though the worldbuilding was simplistic and not as believeable as most Sanderson.
If it were anybody else, I'd say it's a moderately good book. From Sanderson, however, it's a disappointment.

Great book, strange performance.
Revisado: 10-28-18
I'm not sure why they choose this performer to read this book. She certainly seemed to say the Russian words well, however her accent could be a bit distracting for the regular English words. She says "sow" instead of "saw," for instance, and sometimes her cadence got rushed and droning, like she was bored.
The book itself was good enough to pull me through the distracting accent, though. Naomi's writing flows well and the world she has woven together here is both enchanting and real. I highly recommend this book.

Historia
English magicians were once the wonder of the known world, with fairy servants at their beck and call; they could command winds, mountains, and woods. But by the early 1800s they have long since lost the ability to perform magic. They can only write long, dull papers about it, while fairy servants are nothing but a fading memory.

Historia
In the world of Warbreaker, each person is born endowed with the power of one Breath―which can be sold and collected by others, then used to Awaken objects and even corpses to do their bidding. A few individuals who die in glory return as gods, with the power of thousands of Breath, but no memory of their mortal lives―and are enthroned in the Court of Gods in Hallandren’s capital. To Vivenna and Siri, princesses of Idris, the abuse of Breath and the claim of the Returned to be gods are repugnant blasphemy.

Three years have passed since the widowed Dowager Royina Ista found release from the curse of madness that kept her imprisoned in her family's castle of Valenda. Her newfound freedom is costly, bittersweet with memories, regrets, and guilty secrets, for she knows the truth of what brought her land to the brink of destruction. And now the road, escape, beckons...A simple pilgrimage, perhaps. Quite fitting for the Dowager Royina of Chalion.

Decent, but not as good as Curse of Chalion.
Revisado: 07-07-17
The setup felt very slow, and the characters were not as believable, nor the relationships as deep has in some of Bujold's other books. Still, it IS Bujold, so that's like saying this gold isn't quite as valuable as that gold. It's all still gold!

A great book describing why we do what we do and why, often, we do things that we definitely don't want to do, or don't do things that we know we should. This book describes how to change that, and how to become who you want to be.
