Historia
Days from civilisation five men are about to experience something beyond the rational. In the snow slaked wilds where the natives fear to tread, these men search for moose but find something more terrifying and supernatural. With a rush of wind and the smell of feral nature one of their number is whisked away, leaving them wondering: Who might be next?

A well narrated version of a bad story
Revisado: 05-06-25
Blackwood's story seems like a sensationalized characarature of native folklore. It's too pointless to be creepy. Blackwood's Wendigo is a vegan "moss eater" with no particul purpose (not even the modern guardian of nature trope) not the ravenous cannibal result of isolation, hoarding, greed (and/or cannibalism). It really is a stupid story but thankfully short.

We no longer need to be confused. We know what 666 is! We know what the Beast is! We know what the second Beast is! We know which countries will rise and which countries will fall! With knowledge of this information in hand, we can sit back and watch as everything unfolds. We can know that there is really no reason for us to fear anything. God's plan is beautiful! And the end is good!

Hilarious!

I have no idea what the accent is supposed to be, or why it goes in and out, but adding an echo effect whenever another source is quoted (to make it more holy?) is classic and never fails to crack me up. I love that the book begins with a firm criticism and warning that the Bible should not be interpreted; it interprets itself. The rest of the book, of course, is a wild interpretation of the bible.
