Anticlimactic ending.

The story is definitely interesting. An epic journey to a unique world with many suspenseful moments. After innumerable chapters re: the protagonist quite suddenly/abruptly brings the story to a “happy ending,” by wrapping up/concluding with a tidy bow on all the loose ends. A little anticlimactic

Ode to humanity and humanism.

It’s ridiculously easy to identify with the main character, “the Bobs.” Maybe it’s a gen x thing, with appreciation for all the ultra nerdy references to D&D, the matrix and the like. Also love his moral code and willingness to “unleash,” but only when absolutely necessary. There’s a humanity about him that is admirable and irresistible.
Great story line, great characters and great relationships. If good sci fi is anything, it’s a ode to humanity and humanism. Here’s to being the architect of your own destiny.
