If you know his other works, not much more need be said. Heavy on the techno but understandable. With today’s cgi effects, at lease a good animated series could come out of this.

Written just after the gulf war. It's a good listen but so very much has happened in space technology that its obviously dated.

Juvenile science fiction

Lots of shortcuts in the story. Things that proceeded in the storyline just don't happen that fast even with high IQs. I expected better as this is a series. Money was being thrown around like water and even for rich folk, not even close to reality. The narrator: normally I have no preference between male-female but this one just did not do a very good job with this one. It was hard to tell the characters apart. Still, If you get the series at a bargain price it will be worth it for a long drive.

Good but pity wagon went on far too long.

Won't say much more than what's in my title and there are a few stretches of construction believe in the facilities. Two of the characters must have loved hauling bags of cement :-) still, good story overall.
Would have been nice to see both book one and two as one book as other authors have done. Audio books are $$$$! Performance was very well done.

You would think that in a thousand years, even being cut off from earth, a space fairing empire would have advanced much further than they have. Good story but ended in cliffhanger.

That some part of the human race survives it's own destruction.

It moved right along holding my interest.

Um.... I guess that would be... Bob. and Bob oh! and Bob did well.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The hugeness of space and the human personality.

Made for a young audience.

Story line was simplistic but listenable. Things moved at an acceptable pace but I felt that several passages could have been expanded upon. Almost did not buy the book because of it's short length. Would recommend for background while driving.

Overall good story but like a lot of science fiction written today, we are advanced in space transportation but lacking in the other disciplines? The book overall, is nothing more than a long political statement. Don't get me wrong, as it's well told. If you don't mind your politics and everything that's wrong in the world blamed on people other than ourselves, this is worth a credit.

Worth a listen.

Story tries to tie up loose ends of earth history. Is there anyone that Stoll doubts that we have been visited before in earth's past? Story is the usual earth first contact and the global/political reactions. Good narration. Worth a credit.
