how do you knock Al Pacino

when you start Al Pacino's story you'll notice that he does definitely have a colorful history. he seems very honest with his appraisal of his life but it seems that something is missing. although his honesty is very apparent it would have been nicer for us to hear his story as written as opposed to its sounding at times as if he was vamping. if you can overlook his Off Script demeanor then you will enjoy this story. other than that I enjoyed this

Truest version I've heard

Being a fan naturally, I have heard all the over inflated antics told of Jim Morrison and the Doors. Robby gives fans what I feel is a true and fair account of the bands history. I love biographies, and this one is now one of my favorites. He told the story as if he was telling it over a cup of coffee, simple, plane, and a matter of fact. Also, Mr. Boutsikaris performs a wonderful narration of the book, which keeps the reader as if they are a part of the story. I wish every fan and/or anyone beginning interest in the group would read this first before getting bogged down with all the exaggeration that has plagued this band for so many years.

I was a big fan in my youth And after Greg's story bigger fan now. No life is perfect but the perfection that he was allowed he delivered and the story was amazingly told By will Patton .

True Light

As readers we don't always find it easy to believe every word that is printed, but in this case you actually feel as if this was a true account. There is literally nothing Steve can gain from enhancing his version of what really to place And yet turn it into an entertaining Piece of time That any groucho fan would appreciate. It's not often that a true fan gets the opportunity to not only meet their hero but yet Become a part of their legacy . Nice job!

Initially I thought I was going to experience the typical, "I was born a poor white child...." memoir; something that is to be Kerouacesque. This was far from the truth. Flea presented his life in small vinyets that makes his world display all colors of the spectrum, from the brightness of youth to the darkness of his experimental past. If there is to be a "part 2" I can only surmise that it will continue to delight.

Love his books

This is an oldie but a goodie. The suspense and calm that blend in and out of Trevanian storyline will keep you picturing yourself within the scene. Mr. Barrett sites this book justice with the intensity just shy of hearing a director tell, "cut, that's a print".

Only Brian Wilson could express his life in such a collage that would sound confusing but makes perfect sense. Through highs and lows Wilson takes us to depths that sound unbelievable and remarkably he's on with it. When you listen don't think linear, sit back and take journey where it will become clearer and clearer.

Surprise with every chapter!

I saw Scotty Bowers documentary and felt the need to look further into his world; what I found was a wealth of Hollywood tidbits none had known. Full of juicy stories that makes me think if stars were behaving like this then, I can only imagine what is going on in todays Hollywood. I guess every generation has its Scotty Bowers.

great story, somewhat good narrator

This classic did not disappoint. The length of the recording would have anyone question if it is really worth it, it is. The only negative is the choice of narrator, although performed well he seemed to old of a voice to be performing youthful characters. Just my opinion, but a more youthful voice would carrya wider range of characters than one who is older. Other than that, it's worth your attention.
