There's nothing better for an ardent spanking fancier than a good tale about the subject dear to his heart, and this one qualifies on three counts: the excellent quality of the original novel's imaginative story and top-notch crafting, the masterful way O'Neill styles the spanking sequences on paper, and the way he brings the whole thing to life with the sound of his voice.
His theater background is very evident, drawing the listener/reader in, so that anyone who takes a moment to listen to/read the first chapter will be hooked until the very end of the book.
I don't believe in mystical, magical, fiendish creatures -- but the sound of O'Neill's voice kept me glancing over my shoulder, just in case, and gulping mightily at each hearty smack of "monster's" hand on bare naughty-girl flesh.
You will finish this experience longing for more -- and probably plotting a way to get yourself over the lap of the man who is in such utter and complete control of the worlds he creates with his pen and his voice; Mr. Devlin O'Neill.
