Wonderful poetry and a mediocre narrator. What a shame. I wish he had some interest in what he was reading.

Too long to get to the point

It took half of the book for something interesting to start happening.
And even then, it was slow going.
3/4 of the way in, it was interesting.
I kept thinking, it has to get better.
It was ok but wayyyy too slow at the beginning.

Great for Buffy fans

It was a fun listen, especially for anyone who is a BtVS fan.
But the music & special effects were very distracting. They made it very difficult to focus at times & hear the actors. That was disappointing.
The storyline was a bit confusing, popping in and out of different realities. Maybe if the background noise wasn’t so loud it would have been easier to understand.

Realistic look into Fox’s life with Parkinson’s

I listened to Michael J Fox talk about his life with Parkinson’s while I was recovering from Covid. I stopped feeling sorry for myself pretty fast. Fox is a strong man, dealing with his disease. It has taken a toll on him physically and emotionally.
I had a hard time, at first, understanding him because of his slurring of words. I got used to his way of speaking. I then tried speeding him up to 1.2 or 1.3 and that really helped too.
I highly recommend this book for his fans, people who struggle with depression, because he has it and discusses how he deals, and those with a chronic illness. It’s inspiring.

Not for children; Adults only. Gaiman’s Sandman is perfection. If you love horror, this is for you. Warning! There are possible triggers for some people. There are scenes discussing rape and abuse. I mention this as a courtesy.

Worth the wait. Atwood is superb. The narrators were wonderful. I don’t want to give anything away. If you enjoyed Handmaid’s Tale, you will love this book

Capaldi is the best! He is so excellent at narrating the world of Watership Down. It was captivating.

Classically elegant

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but Rebecca is an excellent novel full of classical elegance, full of mystery and suspense. It starts slow but gets so much better.
I also never disliked a character so much as Mrs. Danvers. She is full of vile and contempt. I found myself talking back to her throughout the book.

The Glass is Completely Empty

Matt is accurate in his title. Everything is awful to him. He talks about his childhood, college, and life in general. Everything was pretty horrible, in his opinion, and most of the time, he makes it funny. I had to listen in small periods of time, though. I could only take so much negativity at a time.

Classic Carlin

I loved the audiobooks read by Carlin. If you don’t mind swearing and aren’t offended easily, definitely listen. He is the master of comedy and telling the listener what annoyed him.
