Historia
The causes of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder range from severe neglect to monstrous abuse. Many survivors grew up in houses that were not homes-in families that were as loveless as orphanages and sometimes as dangerous. If you felt unwanted, unliked, rejected, hated, and/or despised for a lengthy portion of your childhood, trauma may be deeply engrained in your mind, soul, and body. This book is a practical guide to recovering from lingering childhood trauma. It is copiously illustrated with examples of the author's and his clients' journeys of recovering.

The FOG is an acronym that stands for "Fear, Obligation, and Guilt". These three emotions are often how narcissists, sociopaths, and other types of emotional manipulators go about controlling others.

Historia
Since the dawn of civilization, men and women have been magnetically and irresistibly drawn together into romantic relationships, not so much by what they see, feel and think, but more by invisible forces. When individuals with healthy emotional backgrounds meet, the irresistible love force creates a sustainable, reciprocal and stable relationship. Codependents and emotional manipulators are similarly enveloped in a seductive dreamlike state; however, it will later unfold into a painful seesaw of love, pain, hope and disappointment.

Not bad, not great.
Revisado: 03-25-18
My favorite thing about this book was the continuum of personality ranging from CSV -5 to CSV +5 and the application of these numbers to understanding what keeps two people together in spite of their dysfunction (or because of their health). I will give the rewrite of this book as chance as I have a feeling that one will be much better (waiting for the audiobook, hope it gets produced soon). Other than that, I thought the book wasn’t groundbreaking or really doing much more than describing personality disorders and wisely advising therapists to get in therapy. All in all, I enjoyed it and learned a decent amount about the codependent/narcissist dance, but was definitely hoping for more.
The reader was very good.
