Spiritual Warfare is real
Revisado: 03-12-25
I have enjoyed this series and the characters in it. Jamie Lee Grey has an excellent way of focusing on the battles that you don’t see that are so important to what we do see.

I found that Kroese has the same view of government that I have and he very artfully wove it into his characters and the story.

Modern culture is increasingly outspoken against a biblical understanding of what it means to be a woman. Even some Christians, swayed by the LGBTQ+ movement, have rejected God’s word on issues of sexuality and gender in favor of popular opinion. In light of these pressures, it’s more important than ever to help women see the truth about who God created them to be. In this powerful book, Rosaria Butterfield uses Scripture to confront 5 common lies about sexuality, faith, feminism, gender roles, and modesty often promoted in our secular culture today.

Revisado: 12-17-24
She had a very clear and interesting way of writing. She is clear about scripture and clear about handling it with truth and love. That really stands out.

Historia
Mason Lot is in-house counsel for Poseidon, a major Wall Street firm that serves as a front company for the National Security State. His job pays well and gives him insight into the corrupt shadow government, but it can't help with his problems at home. Mason assumed that the hefty price tag for his daughter’s private school would buy him a pass from the insanity plaguing New York’s public school system. Nevertheless, indoctrinated by propaganda, Wynter wants to transition into being a boy. When Mason refuses to pay for the procedure, Wynter turns to the state for help.

Goodwin’s books just keep getting better. I enjoyed the narrator as well. One of the best things I like about his books is the plausibility of every story and how different individuals meet the very different challenges presented in each story.

Fun for summer reading
Revisado: 07-01-24
The characters were very well written. I enjoyed some of them and some I did not like. Just as a good book should be.
I loved the positive and spiritual outlook of the main characters. I love that they quoted scripture as part of their lives.
All in all, I highly recommend this book.

Very different dystopian novel
Revisado: 04-17-24
Actually I felt that the chapters of the individual impacts worldwide were poignant and added to the sense of the catastrophe. Until this book, I had never heard of a gamma ray burst.
In the end it was a very hopeful
story and I’m going to read it again. The characters were people in a crisis. I thought they were very well done.
The descriptions of what happened to the environment were told from the perspective of the survivors and you could feel what the impact of these kinds of changes.
All in all a very worthwhile read.

Historia
We've come a long way in the forty years since the Shongairi attacked Earth, killed half its people, and then were driven away by an alliance of humans with the other sentient bipeds who inhabit our planet. We took the technology they left behind, and rapidly built ourselves into a starfaring civilization. Because we haven't got a moment to lose. Because it's clear that there are even more powerful, more hostile aliens out there, and Earth needs allies. But it also transpires that the Shongairi expedition that nearly destroyed our home planet ... wasn't an official one.
