Do you know what the hardest thing for a German learner is? Finding proper reading material that they can handle…which is precisely the reason we’ve written this book! Teachers love giving out tough, expert-level literature to their students, books that present many new problems to the reader and force them to search for words in a dictionary every five minutes - it’s not entertaining, useful or motivating for the student at all, and many soon give up on learning at all!

Great practice if listened to along while reading

I just finished level A2 of German and found it somewhat difficult to understand. I wish it was a little slower. However it was a great practice when listening to it while reading the text.

From across the room, he noticed her elbow. As he traced the curve of her elbow with his eyes, he noticed something stenciled there. At this distance, he should not have been able to tell that that something was a flower. But he could, so he gave up reasoning for reality. His eye started tracing the lines of the flower. He was only vaguely aware that the flower was drawn on a woman's elbow some 20 yards away.

Weird, well written story

This is a quite weird book. I got a little lost at the beginning, despite its simple language.
But it's definitely well written. Recommended if you want to try something different.

Great short stories, some dark, some even with funny twists; all very interesting and entertaining. The narration is clear. The only thing I didn't like was a low but noticeable recording noise.
