Historia
On a flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that’s going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he’s sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché. But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda....

UNLISTENABLE
Revisado: 12-30-24
Couldn't get past the misogynistic undertones - this was obviously written by a dude with no interest in women beyond their value as sexual objects... or plot devices. Clunky and cheesy dialogue made me cringe every five minutes. The depiction of artists was reductive and honestly kind of insulting. The characters were highly unlikeable, which would be interesting if they weren't also somehow painfully dull. No character development to speak of. Just... terrible all over. I'm so bummed I wasted a perfectly good credit on this.

Historia
My name is Peter Grant and until January I was just probationary constable in that mighty army for justice known to all right-thinking people as the Metropolitan Police Service (as the Filth to everybody else). My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit - we do paperwork so real coppers don't have to - and finding a way to climb into the panties of the outrageously perky WPC Leslie May.

Best narrator on Audible by far.
Revisado: 06-26-18
Loved the story. It was fast paced, interesting and original. The best feature, however, was the narrator - he makes it worth listening to even if you're not into sci-fi/fantasy magic stuff.

Hate the music though
Revisado: 05-30-16
What is up with the music between chapters ? I'd vote: lose it ! It's so much better without it -- plus, it sounds extremely cheesy.

Historia
Alex Verus is a mage who can see the future, but even he couldn't have seen this day coming. Alex has agreed to join the Keepers, the magical police force, to protect his friends from his old master, the Dark mage Richard Drakh. Going legit was always going to be difficult for an outcast like Alex, and there are those in the Keepers who aren't keen to see an ex-Dark mage succeed. Especially when Dark mages are making a play for a seat on the council for the first time in history.
