Historia
A masterful synchronization of history and cutting-edge science shines new light on humanity's darkest diagnosis. In the wake of the Cancer Genome Atlas project's failure to provide a legible road map to a cure for cancer, science writer Travis Christofferson illuminates a promising blend of old and new perspectives on the disease.

Everyone should read this
Revisado: 06-30-16
With my background in biochemistry this book had enough scientific detail to keep me engaged. Multiple statements were repeated by the author, which was redundant to me but helped to emphasis his agenda.
The metabolic theory of cancer is very underfunded and this book is great to expose the terrible job the us and european cancer research institutes have done.
You will think twice about going to an ocologist after this book unless they are well-versed in this research.
Great read overall and accessible to college graduates, but it might go over the heads of most people. I wish he had a chapter on how to incorporate these ideas into your health, but that is best served for a separate book.
I am going to recommend this to all my colleagues, friends, and family.

Historia
>When South African conservationist Lawrence Anthony was asked to accept a herd of "rogue" wild elephants on his Thula Thula game reserve in Zululand, his common sense told him to refuse. But he was the herd's last chance of survival: they would be killed if he wouldn't take them. In order to save their lives, Anthony took them in. In the years that followed he became a part of their family. And as he battled to create a bond with the elephants, he came to realize that they had a great deal to teach him about life, loyalty, and freedom.

Fantastic story. Elephants are truly remarkable!
Revisado: 10-14-15
The story is exceptionally written, though I bet a bit exaggerated (the author alludes to this), it's a fantastic journey to reintroduce elephants to a post-apartheid area. Interactions with the native Zulus and the African bush really drives home the point of how difficult conservativism is, though the work goes to show how useful ecotourism can be in an impoverished nation. I am definitely going to check out his other novel "Babylon's Ark".

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

One of the best sci-fi novels I've ever listened 2
Revisado: 09-23-15
Mark W. is a funny, inventive, curious cosmonaut. Potatoes all around! You'll learn a lot about Mars, spaceninjas, and how to make rocket fuel out of piss. Don't pass this novel up , it's way better then any of that other fake science crap. Hmm I feel like reading it again
