Good but feel like I missed things

While the story was fascinating and the characters were well worth, I had a hard time keeping my brain from wandering. The story telling in places gets patchy and makes it hard to follow. It jumps around and skips time.

Overall I enjoyed it but now I need to read the second one because that cliffhanger was not cool 😢

Trigger Warnings and Smoky Voiced Narrator.

I loved the game of thrones TV show. It is exactly in my wheel house. I knew going into this that there was a lot of not okay topics.

There is rape of a 14 year old. Slavery and brutal deaths. I know The author stated one of his biggest misteps in these books were just how young some of the characters were and honestly, I agree. If I hadn't known (aka had a strong attachment to the show) I would have put this book down.

Also the narrator is terrible. The women in this story are all the same tone and he had a very scratchy rough voice, which works well for the male characters. Just was really hard to listen to.

Rough to start but Amazing once it gets going!

Since this book IS massive, there is no surprise that our status slow. However, this should not deter you from starting it. The author does such a phenomenal job quirks building and story telling. The different sides of the story from the multiple different POVs rounds the world and mythology so solidly!

You get everything with this book, dragons, lgbtq+ representation and so much more.

Fantastic Performance

The story telling of this story was phenomenal and I found it rather enjoyable to listen to. However, I fear the story would loose a good deal of its meaning as a written work. but a very good rendition of a classic.

Satisfying Conclusion

While I really enjoy this series, the last book isn't my favorite. I do enjoy the closure we get as an audience but I feel it could have had more.

Best of the Triology

This book is more than likely the best book in the trilogy. Where the first book is set up, this book gives you encrypting you want. The slow burn and full realization that these two would have been perfect for each other, if only in a different time. But you also realize just how hard the next book is going to be too.

Also the spice 🌶 is simply perfect!

Captivating

I have literally read this story through multiple times and I enjoy it as much each time. song the politics of the book play out and how the story is written keeps me captivated!

5 out of 5 would recommend, but do read the trigger warnings as it is not a story for the faint if heart!

Enchanting and Magically Action Packed Mystery

It was really hard to get into and I lost my interest at the beginning. But once i feel I'm live with the magic system and the world, I was hooked! The story telling is unique and enthralling. The twists in the plot kept me on edge and a little bit of Sapphic romance (and drama) was perfect!

Heart Wrenching Story of a Trans Boy

From start to combat this story kept me wanting more. it wasn't until the lay half of the book that I really understood what was going on. I think on a second rwD through I would enjoy this story so much more. It really have a perspective of the way Trans individuals feel that I had never thought possible.

Enjoyable and heart wrenching.
