I was SO excited for this book release, and I was not disappointed! I preordered the audiobook and listened on my commute to work.

I was also excited that the author narrated the audiobook. That gives it a more personal touch. The narration was great because it was so conversational. Jeanette Johnson provided a new perspective in bridging the gap between faith and fashion as an art form.

I love how the book began by discussing how women are judged when we wear lots of colors in church. Jeanette posed some really great questions. I try to be intentional and mindful with a lot of my daily activities and thoughts. But this took it to another level for me.

I also loved when the author mentioned 1) who decides what is and isn't modest (there are so many different views), 2) who decides what style is / isn't okay - the food analogies were spot-on, and 3) how faith ties into it all.

I struggle with where I purchase items, because I also used to get so excited when walking into stores like H&M and Forever21. But I have been wanting to be more mindful, so this is definitely a motivator, knowing how much waste different stores can cause!

The book is full of personal stories, thoughts, and different outlooks. Jeanette started an important discussion that definitely needs to be at the forefront of fashion.
