If this is the case, I advise you to put down this audio instantaneously, because of all the audios describing the unhappy lives of the Baudelaire orphans, The Miserable Mill might be the unhappiest yet.

One of my favorite book series read by one of my most favorite actors?! Hell yes. The other voice acting and sound effects are overall cheesy, but I’m sure for children, it’s super fun like a radio show. Excited for the next book!

On brand: he’s a dick, but you kind of love him anyway

Enjoyed this a ton, even though, well... he’s little bit of a misogynistic creeper. Looked up to this guy since I was a kid, so a bit disillusioned I guess. Oh well. He’s self aware to a point, and it’s all on brand, but I personally didn’t feel like he exactly empathized w a female listener. Too easily leans into the “boys will be boys” narrative and why is everything about whether the collective “girl” will lay him or not?? I hate that shit, it’s a really stupid excuse for being a shallow person. I still liked his story telling though, cheeky with sound effects.

I loved everything about this book/story/performance. Could not stop listening! Loved all the video game/music/pop culture references and the very well crafted and exciting adventure. Felt like a dense whopper packed colorful world. All the characters were great. Did not want to leave!
